A new series starring everyone's favorite Merc with a Mouth comes out tomorrow. Anyone else excited? I had the store where I work order many, many copies. I want to pretend my actions were justified.

I'm not sure exactly how many you mean by many, many copies, but I'm sure going heavy on this was a good idea. I dunno what you guys have for a back issue selection, but our Deadpool back issues suddenly became the most popular thing ever about a year ago.
#edti: Don't forget that this issue is also a Secret Invasion tie in as well. I'm guessing your numbers were probably comparable to the She-Hulk or Incredible Herc tie ins?

Did you guys pick up your copies?
I felt it was fantastic.
I don't know about the three personality things.
I can understand the caption boxes (and loooove those) and then his speech balloons but the white ones seem unnecessary. At first I thought it was like an interviewer asking him questions after the fact, like Irene Maryweather.
Only thing is I can't see Cable too happy about the ending (I know he's flung into a different time and blah blah blah) and Deadpool was getting to be a hero and liking it.
And no crises like he used to have about it!
The only downside I have is that my autographed copy is taking too long to reach the store.

Heh. Secret Invasion was pretty good. But you won't be disappointed with Deadpool.
I did forget to mention that at the end of the issue there are 5 or so pages talking about the history of Deadpool. And I love the fact it mentions his Deadpool comic origins and his Cable and Deadpool origin. I think that was a good idea. Not too many people know of Deadpool (though the number of people who do is steadily increasing) and this way they learn more about the guy.

They need to make another Baby's First Deadpool Book. No better way to introduce younger readers to Deadpool than seeing him eat his friend Blarney the Dinosaur.

Actually, I thought Deadpool #0 would be the best introduction book. Deadpool at his zaniest. Plus he kills the Whizzer, Bucky (who's not dead, but dead in the comic...Whatever), and Uncle Ben and Aunt May (who's also supposedly dead, but not).
And he uses the body parts as puppets.
But yes, Baby's First Deadpool was pretty damn good.

Secret Invasion was indeed good, but it didn't really advance the plot. I'm also worried cause they introduced the Void in like issue 1 or 2, and they haven't shown Sentry or the Void at all since then, except for like 1 page of the Sentry crying in outer space. I really liked the idea of bringing the Void in, but I'm afraid that this will wind up ending just like World War Hulk. Hopefully though, since Bendis has been planning this for years, it won't end like that.

I've read the first 2 issues of Deadpool and I love it. I haven't laughed out loud so many times thanks to a comic book besides the second issue of this. I was also pretty surprised by the ending (though not by the ending of the first one). Definitely great writing, and glad they toned down the schizophrenia a little bit.

I only remember the guy from X-Men Legends 2. Hilarious guy, really knows how to open a battle. I'd like to see what he's like on the comic book pages.
