i have a ds lite, and a gamecube, and the triggers on both systems are fucked in fact it wont even pick it up anymore making some of my games unplayable.... then there's my gamecube, only the left trigger isn't working... how convenient because im playing twilight princess and i cant use the shield, or even target enemies... fuck...

the triggers on my snes and N64 work just fine though, so i was thinking maybe nintendo is just making there triggers all fucked up, because unlike the 64, the gamecube has pressure sensitive trigger doesnt it?, then theres the ds, when i push down on them, they click like there suppose to, but nothing happens on screen...

also i forgot to mention i have dead zone in the very middle of my screen, so that limits the games i can play to even less now.... the point is, is anyone else having problems with there triggers on any nintendo consoles? or any buttons for that matter... the only reason i made this thread is it perplexed me that it was only the triggers on both consoles, and it was eating away at me so, the question still remains, anyone else's buttons fucked?

What's a trigger exactly? Do you mean the L/R buttons?

Anyway, the problems I've had up to now with buttons are with the Playstation 2 (R2 and Up on the d-pad don't work) and the Gamecube (the analog stick's plactic skin stuff peels off and it's sticky as hell).

I've had issues with the L/R buttons on my first 2 DS lite's. Thank god for Best Buy's in store warranty. In nintendo's defence though I did play the living hell out of them.

One of the shoulder buttons on my original DS doesn't work sometimes, I believe it's the L. Other than that, I've only had problems with them on my PS2 controllers when they get stuck sometimes.

I've never had an issue with shoulder buttons and from my experience, not many games even really use them often, so I don't even see the big deal. My DS lite is about 2 years old now and used daily, and still going strong.

I fucked up the shoulder buttons on all of my Gamecube controllers, I blame this solely on playing too much Smash Brothers Melee.

They still work to a degree, but the spring is worn so you don't get the visceral of the button "click". So they work, but it's not nearly as satisfying.
