Edge/Punk/Hardy 3-way
Christian/Dreamer
Orton/HHH/Cena/Big Show 4-way
3 big title matches, and get this: ZERO COMMERCIALS. Apparently they're gonna treat it like a PPV, which means something might actually happen on RAW for once.
Will watch.

This has my interest if anything just for having all three brands competing, it's the biggest thing I have against the WWE. They have real competition now(TNA, and soon apparently RoH), they can stop faking it now.

Apparently they can't stop faking it. Vince has lost his mind, and any one who comes up with an idea that wasn't Vince's get shouted down and embarassed in front of everyone.

Well, someone is definitely going to win Batista's vacated title.
My guess is either HHH or Cena.

I betting on Orton. Why? Because, he's the one I like least, which means he will win.

It's not the 3-hr one that's commercial free? Well that kinda sucks.

I would imagine Orton wins it so HHH can chase for awhile, setting up the inevitable Ted Dibiase turn (whenever Marine 2 is coming out). Then HHH/Ted v Cody/Orton tag matches for like 6 consecutive ppvs. yawn

Monthly PPVs. Worst thing to ever happen to the business imo.

Eric Bischoff was a big influence there. It used to be like 4 or 7 a year. He upped it to compete during the Monday Night Wars.
I've seen most of these matches already for Raw. Big Show must have been thrown in to make the match seem bigger.

Oh totally, but it killed the ability to build a story. When you just had the big 4 every year, they could give matches an actual "big match" feel, and even undercard throwaways like the WM7 blindfold match got a lot of build.
Nowadays they just try and throw it together in one week and hope the brand sells itself, but with such a small roster, we've seen all the matchups they keep redoing. It's too old. At least WCW had like 5000 guys, so they could stack a PPV even if the main events were always garbage.

WWE just isn't creative with the booking, either. A feud generally lasts 2 PPVs, maybe 3. And you the same damn match every time, especially since WWE has moved into the TV-PG range. You can draw out a feud for 6 PPVs if you book it right. Give us a cage match. Give us a War Games match. Give us First Blood. Give us no disqualification. See, that's the thing I liked about WCW, and the thing I like about TNA: they're not afraid to invent a new gimmick match on the fly. Sure, these gimmick matches don't always work, but at least they're trying to do something different.
A great example of this is the Chamber of Horrors match from Halloween Havoc 1991, where a team had to strap one of their opponents into an electric chair and activate it to win. It was pure Golden Age wrestling cheese.

I think WWE gave up on big new gimmicks after the Kennel From Hell match. It might've been classic hilarity (especially if you see the version where Mick Foley does commentary like it's a 5-star classic), but it wasn't what Vince had in mind.
The thing I can't figure out is how they have PPVs with shitty buyrates, TV shows with fairly dismal ratings in comparison to what they are looking for, yet somehow they claim the PPV frequency and the brand split have both caused a spike in their profitability. All it's made me do is never buy a PPV and skip all the shows.

Someone needs to smack Vince upside the head. I agree with Jim Cornette when it comes to seeing him go bankrupt.

Let me know if its any good and/or if there's a cameo by HBK (which automatically qualifies it as "good." ) We don't get it here in the West for a while yet.
