With "Casino Royale" coming out, MGM has decided to release all the Bond films with new 2-disc sets. My question to the world is, will they be available separately? Chances are: No. MGM wants us to buy the box sets. Naturally, this upsets me. I can't afford to buy the sets and there's Bond films I'd rather forget. While there are other Bond movies I still don't own on DVD (A View to a Kill, which really erks me).

Curse you MGM!*

In the event, they are released separately, I revoke my curse.

There's still the old DVDs though, which I recall being pretty loaded with extras. Still, I too am a Bond junkie and could never bring myself to buy those ones either -- I recall they were awfully pricey.

Are those out of print now?

All I know is that the last time I went to the store to get "A View to a Kill" it was unavailable.

And a quick trip to Amazon just now has yielded me with a "yes, they are out of print".

Personally I prefer my spies to be from the Solid Snake mold (and everyone knows Snake could take Bond).

I prefer Bond to Solid Snake. See, Bond stars in actual movies whereas Solid Snake stars in games that seem like movies because they have too many goddam cutscenes.

Sense this became the Ultimate Spy thread, I gotta say Sydney Bristow outshines any other spy. <0>

Stephen Chow, anyone?

Image

Not as much sex appeal as Jennifer Garner, but hilarious.

Until MGS comes out as a movie liek Kojima wants (with NO involvement from Uwe Boll) I'm content with saying Snake Pliskin could whoop Bond.
