Well, tomorrow marks the first day for the return of E3 to its proper glory. Its going to be a 3-day affair held in the L.A. Convention Center (no small time setup this year).

For those uninformed, E3 stands for the Electronic Entertainment Expo and stands as an annual hub for developers and gamers to get a look at what is coming during the next year(s) of gaming. Within the last couple years however, E3 was massively scaled down because of cost concerns. This year, it is back in full effect and I could not be more excited.

There is supposed to be tons of news from the big 3, more so than usual. I am hoping there are some insane announcements from Nintendo that make me shit my pants without warning. Who else is getting pumped for any of this?

Well, the first announcement coming out of E3 is this: the PSP Go!

They removed the UMD slot in favor of digital downloads, and there will be a way to transfer your UMD games onto a memory stick. No worries there.

Only if it's hacked though, I'm definitely on board, but that's since I never owned a PSP of any kind.

Everyone knew about the PSP Go, it has been the worst kept secret in the industry the last month or so.

Not so excited since I got my DSi like two week ago. Razz

I can't wait for more announcements though.

Wow... MS's press conference was pretty ass aside from the new Metal Gear title, and I'm not that big of an MGS fan myself.

(Dudes, we should really put all the E3 announcements and talk in this thread-- otherwise we're gonna have 1500 new threads cluttering up the forum and people won't be able to respond to everything.)

On that note, This pre-E3 clip of Final Fantasy: The Crystal Bearers, Wii exclusive, is looking very sweet!

Meh, I posted about MGS: Rising, but that's about it. I'm glad to hear of Crackdown 2 though, I freaking loved the cheesiness of the first one.

I disagree, Xbox already has a comfortable legion of hardcore gamers but also a small but loyal number of casual gamers. The announcments today I think were geared towards both. The natal steared more towards casual but Left for dead 2 and the new metal gear game will certainly peak the interests of the hardcore i think. That's not even bringing in the proper full zune integration and on demand 360 titles. None of these things may interest you but if they at least get you talking then i think it's mission accomplished

Well, it officially starts this morning. I am fairly pumped for something awesome to come out of left field.

Anyways, Red Steel 2 is looking fantastic. Highly stylized, and the controls look very solid.

Well, true, but I just came in expecting megatons like I do every year. For the most part, this one came up empty.

Well, the MGS game (which is for PS3 now too), L4D2, Crackdown 2, Halo Reach, and Shadow Complex.

Also, if anyone else saw all of Nintendo's E3 conference, they also announced a new Golden Sun for the DS... holy shit!
