I hate inspector gadget. Even as a kid my inherent sense of justice and fairness made me hate this idiot for getting all of the credit for the crimes solved by a little girl and a stupid dog.
He's a disgrace to robotic detectives everywhere.

Jealousy much?! I also hated Inspector Gadget as a kid, it was just "meh" to me. There was so much better on, like My Little Pony and Care Bears.

I was personally a fan of Eurekas Castle.

Holy crap, I completely forgot about that! IT'S PICNIC TIME!
On the subject of Gadget, I never minded it, watched it when it was on but never sought it out. It does have an awesome theme song though, and the voice of Dr. Claw is classic.

It's a kids show. What kids like never really makes any sense. I think it's better than more recent ones at least.
I watched it when I was like 4, and I really liked it, though it was mostly because it had a catchy theme song.
Now the song sounds stupid, but as a kid I didn't even understand half the lyrics, which made it sound much better.
Anyway, here's the french theme song :

Ha, Nickelodeon used to show Inspector Gadget and Heathcliff back to back. Gotta love those DIC cartoons.
Yay for shitty cartoons. Maybe they will start showing "Wish Kid" next *Shudder*.

I always hated cartoons where the scatterbrain asshole prevails over people who actually use their common sense. Ah well, here's hoping for cool cartoons on Hulu in the future.

Inspector Gadget sucked, I never liked it as a kid and only watched it because their was nothing else on in its usual timeslot. I liked Don Adams from Get Smart who did the voice of Gadget, but thats about it
As an adult I have came to realize alot of these shows we hold in such high nostalgic regard look so retarded or corny.
--------------------------------------
Hey Dude- I loved this show as a kid, after watching it recently I have realized you had to be a kid to enjoy this show, it barely held my attention span for 5 minutes as an adult, and thats after trying to watch 6 or 7 episodes. The episode were full of bad acting, very corny and so stupid it was embarassing at times.
Salute your Shorts- While aging much better than Hey Dude, its not something that is as fascinating as it was as a kid. I could see Nick doing a remake and it being popular because its premise is entertaining if your a kid.
Pete and Pete- Honestly as an adult this show is still fun to watch, it has held the test of time. Memorable characters and a weirdness that is unique and interesting.
Guts- Actually knew a girl in Orlando who went on this show and is my age now(26). It wasn't great, but not shit either. Grouped in a long list of Nick Shows that I would call tolerable.
Eureka's Castle- For some reason I liked this show, don't know why.
David the Gnome- Richie's dad's voice got on my nerves, I just wanted every enemy encountered to eat David and his wife every episode so the show wouldnt come on again
Sharon,Louis and Bram= Good kid show for small children.
Rugrats- Interesting, yet I still have yet to figure out why
Doug- Roger FTW
Ren and Stimpy- Not entertaining on Nick, moved to MTV, still sucked. Just Gross and stupid and overated by some.
Wild and Crazy Kids- A good premise show that could be recycled on today's Nick

IMO Rugrats was popular because it appealed to the inner child, and had awesome music buy one of the guys from Devo.

It is amazing how a few years made such a big difference in what a person would watch.
Ermac, I am only 3 years older than you, but I remember all of the shows you mentioned being watched by my sister (your age) while I had no interest in most of them at all.

To be honest, i was disappointed. I was hoping for a more cyborg kind of face.
Inspector Gadget was one of my favorite shows growing up mainly because he was an idiot. Plus it was very self aware, it never tried to be more then a silly mystery cartoon with a bumbling detective. Plus it had memorable music and voice acting. I even watched the show recently and still laugh my ass off.
I guess i'm the only one here who really enjoyed it
Links, pics, vids . . . I shall post these when given the chance
