I'm wondering if anyone on the board takes HDR pictures? I just found out about it the other day and tried it myself and the pictures look amazing. Granted, I have a crap point and shoot camera(Canon Powershot) and the pictures actually suck compared to the stuff out there, but it's 100 times more interesting than anything else I've shot before.

I'm still new to the forums, so I'm not sure if this sort of thing has been talked about before, but I'm interested to see who's tried this and what equiptment/techniques have been used.

I'm using a Canon Powershot A1000 and Photomatix Pro 2.5.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about if you're not familiar. The subject matter is also kinda cool for any Silent Hill fans.

I have played with this before. Sometimes the results are amazing and other times they make things look odd.

I was primarily using a Canon Powershot S500. The camera came out a long time ago and is currently broken. I now use my wife's camera, an SD1000 when I want to take pictures.

None the less, the images are fun to play with.

Reminds me of a segment they did on Attack of The Show back in 2005 using HDR photography. It was a pretty badass segment, check it out here:
