Here are some of current traffic rankings by country for SydLexia.com:

66,347 - Australia
95,490 - Canada
51,530 - Mexico
23,184 - United States

What the fuck, Canada? My site is more popular in Mexico than in Canada, and a significant portion of Mexicans DON'T EVEN SPEAK ENGLISH.

Get your shit together. There are what, like 1,000 people total in Canada? And given the significant Canadian presence on the boards, I should be like 10th most popular site in Canada. So Ross, jprime, and the rest of you Canucks, here's what I want you to do. Wake up tomorrow morning, eat your poutine, get into your little Chevy Novas, travel 50 miles down the road to your nearest neighbor and tell him how awesome SydLexia.com is. If you see the maple syrup factory, you've gone too far.

It's some kind of problem with Canada's internet providers. They type "sydlexia.com", hit enter, and end up looking at a blank piece of paper on their typewriters.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

Blame Les Stroud.

He is so frigg'n awesome that all Canadians aspire to be like him. They have left their homes and begun to live in the woods among the animals.

They have reverted back to their primal instincts and are barely humans at this point.

The few members of this site simply missed his show while they were browsing the internet.

If you see the maple syrup factory, you've driven past your closest neighbor's house.

In wrestling terms, a "heel" is a bad guy who often berates the fans and his fellow wrestlers, and who often cheats to win his matches. A "promo" is a speech.

I knew the heel thing, I just screwed the pooch with the quote :S, but the maple syrup factory kinda threw me for a loop. But hey, I figured if they drove past the Sugar Bushes, then you pry have another mlile to go in canada...

Or better yet, pour the shape of the letters onto somebody's lawn in gasoline and then drop a match on it.

I might just try that, good advice. I am from Canada myself... Err... Not that you can tell from my location. Anyways, no Canadians do not live in igloo's, and no, we do not say "eh" after every sentence. The problem with Canadians is that the majority of them suck.

The numbers aren't as bad as you think Syd, you're actually the most popular non-hockey related website in Canada.

Syd,

There is a perfectly logical reason for this. It's currently hockey playoffs right now, so 90% or 900 of the 1000 people in Canada are spending their free time watching hockey.

Secondly, not everyone speaks english in Canada. There is of course those french speaking, poutine eating Quebecer's, but there is also the Newfoundlanders who speak an unknown dialect. Those two provinces alone make up 30% of the population, which leaves 700 people and if 90% of them are watching hockey that leaves 70 people that are able to access your site on a regular basis. So if guys like me, Ross, Anorexorcist and a bunch of others who visit your site on a regular basis make up about 10-15 people out of the remaining 70 isn't too shabby at all.

Also, a good way to attract the remaining 55-60 Canadians is to write an article on how American beer is way better than Canadian beer. You will have 60 hits on your site within minutes.

Actually, this "dfWAFAWEVWvrwvrogvreoverbjaepbeDFQEFWEF" made more sense to me than what you just said "Whaddyat by? Oh me son that there is some good fish 'n chips! Lu, thats ridiculus me boy."

If I try to tell people here about this site, they'll bitch about how there's no manual for the site in french, whine to the PQ,
who will then militate for quebec's internet's independance because they have nothing better to do.

But seriously, about half the people in my college were in "English 101" (as opposed to 102, 103 or 104), where you learn awesome stuff like the days of the week and the simple present, so meh.

I am also a Newfoundlander. So are the last ten generations or so of my family.
