Does anyone here watch this show with any regularity?
It just ended an 8-season run (probably) and had one of the best finales I'd seen of any show. I'm sorry to admit it, but I'd never been so attached to a show's characters as I was to Scrubs' characters.
In any event, if anyone is a fan... feel free to discuss the ending/show/whatever.
Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us.

I love Scrubs, but I've only seen re-runs out of order on Comedy Central.

I loved the finale too. Unfortunately, it may not truly be the series finale. If you noticed, ABC was simply billing it as the Season 8 finale, rather than the series finales.
And there's a reason for that. They've been happy with the show's numbers and are in talks to bring it back for another season. Zach Braff (JD) and Judy Reyes (Carla) have said they definitely won't do another season, so that likely means that Sarah Chalke (Elliot) and Donald Faison (Turk) would be written out as well. Bill Lawrence said that if the show did come back for another season, it would center around the interns introduced this season. He also said that he feels they should change the name, as Scrubs was primarily JD's story.
Hopefully they do the right thing and let it end at Season 8. I wouldn't mind a spin-off, especially if it had Dr. Cox and the Janitor. But don't desecrate the original show by continuing to use its name for something that will be drastically different from original vision.

I completely agree. As much as I would like to see Scrubs continue, the Scrubs I would like to see go on includes JD, Carla, Turk, and Elliot. They're the heart of that show, and while the interns would be alright, there's no way I'd be able to relate to their stories as much as JD's- I'm just too invested in his character.
As far as the finale goes, it epitomized what the show was about- a careful mix of laughs and serious business. The last 5-10 minutes of the episode were fantastic television though, especially if you are a longtime fan of the show.

Same here. It didn't seem like a show I would enjoy at the time it first aired, so I never watched it back then. I have actually thoroughly enjoyed it now that I gave it a chance. I watch network t.v. so infrequently these days I was actually unaware that they were still airing new episodes. I'm glad nobody gave any spoilers so far. I have to see if I can find it and watch it somewhere.

For those of you that haven't seen the show and are wondering what the fanfare is about... here are three of my favorite clips in the entire show. I could have picked dozens, but these three always come to mind when I think of my favorites from it.
Those are just the funny clips I can think of... Scrubs also brought the serious, which made the show good. There was a fine balance of comedy and drama. Here are two such dramatic clips.
And of course. Elliot. For the love of God... Elliot.
That, my friends, is what you're missing if you hadn't seen Scrubs. Sorry for the barrage of clips, but the show is pretty multifaceted... and Elliot deserves her own clip.

I had one complaint about the finale: the outtake reel was waaaay too long. I wish they would have skipped it entirely, being as it was (hopefully) the final episode.
I've watched almost every single episode since it debuted. I was pretty impressed by the finale Wednesday night. I'm glad they brought the series back for another season, and didn't let it end with that fantasy episode.

I have been a regular watcher and I enjoyed the last episode, but the last two seasons as a whole have been a bit hit or miss. Every episode has some very funny content, but the main story arc has been dragging a bit.
Either way I have enjoyed the show and will miss it. I wouldn't mind a spin off, but would hate it if they called it Scrubs.

Good God I love that episode...just for that scene...minus Turk...I really just need an hour or two with Elliot in that outfit...
Anyone else download that Peter Gabriel song after watching the finale?
No, but I've gotten into a few bands after hearing them on Scrubs.
I'm not a big fan of The Fray, but I kind of hate that everyone attributes their meteoric rise on having "How To Save a Life" featured on Grey's Anatomy. Scrubs had that song featured two weeks before Grey's stole it.

I want to, but I can't find the damn thing. I refuse to get iTunes, so I suppose I'm limited to illegally downloading via Limewire and getting crazy viruses, or compiling a playlist on playlist.com. It's definitely not on playlist, although there is another version of it that is pretty good. I do like that P. Gabriel version a lot though... it's fitting Scrubs went out with a good song.

Joshua Radin is pretty solid too, and he shows up all over Scrubs. I think I read somewhere that he and Zach Braff are buddies.

I'm fairly certain it's called the Book of Love.

It is.
The mp3 I have says it's from the soundtrack to the 2004 film "Shall We Dance?".

Wish I could add something on topic, but I never really got into Scrubs. My sisters, on the other hand, love it. Enough people here like it that I'd consider renting the seasons from Netflix once they come out though. It sounds quite decent.

I hated this show at first, then I started watching reruns and loved it, and then I got sick of all the dramatic parts with JD walking around to some indie song. Now I can't stand it.

I won't read the posts as I havn't seen it. They are ending it? That makes me sad, I loved this show and the characters for some reason. I rented the DVD's so I won't see the end till then, but I was always sad when I finished a season and had to wait a day to rent the next one and more so when I ran out of seasons on DVD. I NEED MORE SCRUBS.
I can't say I like Zac Braff that much in any other roll though, he will always be JD.
