Hey, did you know pretty much every state has a good amount of cash from old bank accounts and the like they're required to hold on to and try and give back?
GOOGLE up "Unclaimed property (yourstate)" (or any state you've lived in), go to the state treasury website (don't go to another one, they'll try and charge you), enter your name into the search bar, and see what comes up.
I didn't get nothin', but I just found out my father in law has 17 bucks being held. So there.

Dude, this is so awesome. I just did this and found out that I have over 100 dollars unclaimed property in the form of payroll wages. It's like getting a bonus that I never even knew I had! Try it out, you'll never know what you'll find!
Also, thanks Usa for bringing this to attention. This is like.... the best day of my life!

That's pretty neat. I want to check the database for my whole family, but the NY database keeps giving me errors... typical.

My mom was on the list!
I have no idea how much money it was for, but I'll find out soon enough. Thanks for the heads up!

Amazingly there were three unclaimed properties for me in the state of Wyoming.
Is this some kind of prank? I don't even live on this planet let alone the state of Wyoming.

It says my dad has "$1-$5" bucks of unclaimed property. One to five dollars, now he's rolling in the riches.
