I saw this the other day. It's more of a Nintendo portable timeline. Since it only mentions the Lynx and Gamegear for other portables.

Where's the Nomad, Turbo-Express, GP32, GP2X, Gizmodo, PSP, Neo-Geo Pocket, Wonderswan, etc?

Game Gear had backlighting, which is why I preferred it over the Game Boy, even though it sucked up batteries like a fat guy eating pancakes at a buffet.

It would crush battery life, they had to figure out a way to do it efficiently.

In regards to the Game Boy, most definitely seconded. After I got my first GBA SP with the backlighting, I actually tried going back to my old GBA just to see what it was like, and I don't know how the heck I even survived without the backlighting.
