http://cgi.ebay.com/Nintendo-Cereal-System-NEW-Unopened-VERY-VERY-RARE-/130385693900?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e5b97cccc

I would love this, but there's a reserve on it, and judging by the item description, it's probably $200, which is more than I can afford. Oh well. If anyone else is interested in the Nintendo Cereal System, here's a heads up.

Like I'm supposed to know you started eating 20 year old foods because of a website...You may have been eating a box of 1960 Crispy Critters when you were in high school.

I did once drink expired milk by accident. As far as I know, that incident was not in any way related to SydLexia.com or its creation.

Wow is the cereal really that rare? I think my dad still has an unopened box in his display closet. I'll have to check after I move back to Cali and let him know how much it's worth.

Unopened food products in general are rare. And a cereal that hit the market during the height of NES-mania, well....

The guy on the site is exclaiming to be "one of the rarest of NES collectibles" which I find to be dumb as fuck. It's stale food.

It's no 1990 Nintendo World Championship, that's for sure.

Yeah, I'd bother to try and take up a collection and get this, but really, this jackoff probably set the reserve way too high.

Well Syd I pushed it past $100 to see if I could grab this for you but the reserve is still not met

Up to $112.50, huh? Maybe we should all dump in around five or ten bucks apiece so Syd can get it. I'd say something along the lines of we're all sharing in a moment of 80's Nintendo history, but with how old the stuff is we're probably actually funding Syd's death here.

I'll only throw money down if Syd makes a video of him eating it, it's not really the same reading about what he's going through, it's much more fun to watch. I'd throw $20 down if a video was guarenteed.

It's not worth it, even if we could coordinate all the donations. $200 bucks just ain't worth a box of cereal.

I'll bet the NES Drinking Saga owes its existence in part to that.

Could you imagine eating the cereal while playing the Championship cartridge?

No doubt it would be like looking as one opened the Ark of the Covenant.

Now that you mention it, I don't think we ever actually saw any instance of him eating those old foods. That's right, I'm calling your bluff, Syd.
