I was playing it on VC, and on Sky Land(World 5). After beating the fortress in the first part of the map, a match game icon appears over the Hammer Bros who was patrolling. Then the Hammer Bros continually walks around with the match game icon over it, infinitely.

Anyone else ever run into this?

Hmmm, I have played alot of SMB3 in my time but I do not believe I have ever encountered this.

Migh just be a glitch on the VC

I first I thought it could have been related to one of those pirate coin ships, but I don't think so.

Edit: Found this vid on youtube, looks to be exactly what you are talking about, i'll be damned. Also, this happened in Mario All Stars on the SNES, so this means it is a glitch within the game itself and not a problem relating to the NES hardware or the emulation on the VC.

I mean, I assume that is what he means. Although I have never seen this, it seems to be exactly as he described.

Yeah, that's exactly what happened. I was a bit peeved to lose my thirty lives, and P-wings though...
