Looks pretty good, but I'm holding judgment for how balanced/bug-free it is:

Also, it seems wrong that Brainiac bots can bestow Lantern power rings.

Character create looks really really good. Its damn near half of what I would want out of a superhero game. Second, I like the stronger emphasis on story, which City of Heroes lacked. Now we just need to see how it plays.

I like the excuse they came up with for a gazillion new super heroes. It almost doesn't feel forced at all Smile
But yeah, looks insanely cool Smile

In early October, it was reported that Sony Online Entertainment was postponing the November 2, 2010 release of action MMORPG DC Universe Online in response to feedback from users during the open beta test. Today, Sony Online Entertainment confirmed a January 11, 2011 launch date for both PC and PS3 users.

The PC version will retail for $49.99 and the PS3 version will retail for $59.99. Both will include a 30-day free subscription, with additional time charged at $14.99 a month. Users of the PC version will also be able to subscribe using Sony Online's all-in-one 'Station Access' subscription. A collector's edition, containing a statuette of Batman, a limited edition comic and art book will be available at release to both PC and PS3 users.

Yea, I have been in on the beta for the last several weeks an I love it.

The only reason I won't be getting this game is the brutal subscription fee.

Somewhere between 5 and 10. I would pay that much to play this. But $15 a month for a game I'll play between 5-10 hours at most a month, no thanks. I would love to find an MMO where I could just buy the game and not have a subscription fee. Alas, dreams.

Its called guild wars. You can also try the cheap korean knock offs, you only have to pay cash for the extra items, though at some point you do start to bottom out. Also, DDO has a limited free mode, with optional one time purchases.

Your welcome.

Yep, if you want free MMOs but with high productions values, play DDO and the very good Lord of the Rings Online that just recently went free to play. If you don't care about production values, there are literally hundreds of free MMOs to choose from.

$15 a month is actually the standard rate for MMO subscriptions and always has been.

Thanks guys! I've searched around a bit for some ones that don't have a subscription, but most of the internet is completely useless. I'll probably at least check out LotR because I'm a pretty big fan of the series.
