As soon as I saw that thread, I went to my Wii and downloaded The Last Ninja.

Heh, good luck Kojjiro, those won't fit on the Wii hard drive.

Sega would be all over that shit though. Sega and Nintendo are apparently BFFs.

After years of abuse, mudslinging and random jabs... Sega is now giving Blowjobs to Nintendo and hummers to sony and microsoft. Which is why we keep getting Shitty Sonic Games, bad Shinobi attempts and collection sets left and right.

You did not just call The Last Ninja "horrible Commodore 64 junk"! Oh wait, I believe you did. Well... yeah, I guess it might not be all that great nowadays. I should probably play it and see for myself. The music still kicks ass, though.

We've had Commodore 64 titles available on the European Virtual Console for at least a year now (including The Last Ninja 2 and 3), but I still haven't downloaded any of them. Maybe if they brought out The Great Giana Sisters... yeah, that'll likely happen around when Earth is overrun by tiger monkey lizards from Phobos in 5567 AD.

Holy shit! I remember playing The Last Ninja on my old Apple IIGS when I was 9 or 10. That game was brutally difficult for a pre-pubescent child if I remember correctly.

Well, I already have that game on a cartridge. It's one of the best SNES games ever. Very Happy

with modern day data compression, and the fact that I can fit several n64 games on one wii it might not be as impossible as you think. Considering CD games have everything written on the disc seperate (music, etc) you could easily compress the largest files that don't really mean much. Music might take a hit and the graphics may not be incredibly 100% dreamcast authentic but it'd be better then paying 200$ for a ten year old console and even more for any of the good games.

You can get a Dreamcast for like $20. Sega CD? Not so much. If they do Sega CD games, they should start with Popful Mail.

After years of abuse, mudslinging and random jabs... Sega is now giving Blowjobs to Nintendo and hummers to sony and microsoft. Which is why we keep getting Shitty Sonic Games, bad Shinobi attempts and collection sets left and right.

Hence the need to ditch the high definition graphics in video games and go back to the days of 8-bit and 16-bit games.

The C=64 was vastly superior in gaming to the original NES. If had to pick between the two, to be the only means of gaming available to me for the rest of my life, I wouldn't even have to think about it. C=64 all the way baby!

Many of my all-time favorite games were on C=64:

Lords Of Conquest
Impossible Mission
Summer Games
Winter Games
World Games
Skate Or Die
Racing Destruction Set
M.U.L.E.
Movie Mogul
Mail Order Monsters
Bruce Lee
International Karate + (aka IK+)
Archon
Bard's Tale I-III
Phantasie I-III
SSI's AD&D Gold Box games
Wizard's Crown
Legacy of The Ancients
Temple of Apshi Trilogy
Realms of Impossibility
Artilery Duel
Spy vs Spy
Boulderdash
Blue Max
Gemstone Warrior
Questron I & II
Shard of Spring
The Eternal Dagger
Demon's Winter
Hilsfar
Sword of Aragon
One on One: Dr. J vs. Larry Bird
The Seven Cities of Gold
Ultima I-IV
Heart Of Africa
...and alot more

My all-time favorite NES games:
Final Fantasy
Super Mario 1 & 3
River City Ransom
Metal Gear
Contra
Strider
Blaster Master
That's about it.
