I was heavily into MAME many years ago(still am to some degree) and I bought this Interact Pro Shock controller for PSX/PS2. I had it hooked up through a PSX/USB adapter. This controller is perfect for pretty much any arcade game and especially for fighting games. I love it because I can play emulators with it and I can also use it on my PS2 for my other fighting games.

I think the controller was fairly inexpensive. I remember it being less than $30 when I bought it back in 2004. If you are looking for a decent arcade stick for MAME this is a good choice. If you see it you should pick it up. It is not a large controller but it works well. It is about six inches across and about four inches vertically.

No, this came out before the 360 was released. I think it was only made available for PSOne/PS2. I use it on PC using an adapter.

see, I can't deal with this. Everything on it looks good, until you get to the joystick.. I fucking hate the round ball sticks, what's so difficult about making an oblong one like the arcades. It handles so much better. Along with the oblong grip, it should almost feel like there are notches along the radious of the stick if you rotate it along the edges. I'm looking into an X-Arcade stick, those look awesome, but are like 100 bucks.

I'd love to get an X-Arcade stick but they are just too expensive for my tastes. Also probably too large for my desk as well.
