I'm seriously getting pissed off the fact that at every video I look at I have to see this crap, i mean i can't look at dance challenges without seeing "AryanBro88" leaving his pathetic "truth" on every single video that inculdes or has to do with minorities or hip-hop.

Here are some I can oh so remeber

"lOOK at Thess F****** n*ggers dance like a bunch of munkeys!"

"Ha-Ha F*** you retards attempting poetry! 88! "

I mean when kids are gangbanging on Youtube it's down right funny but every time I post a video I get an Influx of these assholes.

It's not that the words "Nigger" "Coon" offend me it's the principal of it.
I mean if one one of them walked up to me and called me a Nigger , iI'd seriously have to give him his props BEFORE iI beat his ass (not that I beat one of my friends asses for calling me that I can take a joke.)

Anyone else have problems like this?

You're black? (not to be racist, it's just that there's one black guy on here besides you.)

Yeah, it is really obnoxious that our society's come to this weird return to racist humor. This time, people can even not be legitimate racists, but they think that screaming old stereotypes and slurs makes them funny.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

Sorry to get up on my soapbox, but why does anyone care what race one is? Sure, some white people stand around and say "Look at this dumb nigger dance!", but do not black people turn around and say "look at this dumb ass cracker!" I speak freely because A) I don't believe in censoring myself and B) a word only has as much power as you allow it to have, and I don't allow nigger, cracker, etc, etc, etc, to have any power whatsoever, and neither should anyone it is being used against. My skin is white, but I have mexican ancestry on my mother's side, so I've dealt not only with Mexican slurs but even worse, mixed race slurs and though words may be hurtful, they're just fucking words. They have no power unless you allow them to do so.

Getting back on my point, sorry if this pertains to you but this is how I see it: Using race as a descriptor of anyone (allowing only, say, general descriptors, as every little bit helps if you're, say, a policeman chasing down a fugitive) is in and of itself racist unless you're doing it to yourself as an identifier. Turn the situation around, if a group of black guys said "Yeah, I have a white friend named Undeath", I'd find it slightly racist because, no matter anything else they can associate me with, they pick skin color, and a society will never truly acheive a racism free society when we identify/respond to skin color so easily.

Or, it's never, "Hey, that funny guy," it's always "that black guy."

Eh, sorry. [shut up]

Not only is that not right, that's not even wrong. It's a meaningless statement. Saying something is "one molecule away" from plastic is like saying a farm is one letter away from a fart. Water is "one molecule away" from being explosive hydrogen gas.

I see what you are saying. But you can't avoid skin color completely. If you see someone running from a crime scene and the cops ask you to describe him, skin color would be pretty vital. It's just when people use it as a reason to be negative or to not like other people that it really sucks.

I once chatted with someone who defended his racism by sharing the story of the time he and his family were robbed in their home at gunpoint. I could understand his anger at the perpetrators but not the fact that he used the situation as a justification of his vilification of an entire race. I even asked him if me and my white friends had been the robbers would he have hated whites? He said no that would be different. How the fuck is that different? I don't really see the logic of being racist. I can understanding disliking a person based on their actions but a whole race of people? Nah don't get it. Sadly no

My question is, do people like the ones in Blackout's story really not understand the faulty logic in their position (double standard and such), or do they know it makes no sense and are just afraid of admitting they are wrong?

I'm 100% German, blonde with blue-eyes and got beat up by a skinhead in a rock club for knocking against him in the mosh pit one time. He probably went home and complained to his Nazi buddies about violent blacks, then told them that the world needs aryan unity.

The way I see it, racism is absolutely one of the stupidest reasons to hate anybody in the history of anything. Skin color, other than maybe being a cultural identifier (because, sorry to play Devil's Advocate, but black culture is sometimes markedly different from white culture, and that's OK, but let it be a cultural celebration, not a racial one) has absolutely no bearing on who you are unless you choose to make it who you are. When I introduce myself, I don't say "I'm the white guy".

Likewise, I don't get uncomfortable when I'm the only white guy around a group of black guys, nor do I look at them as a different group of people, JUST people, like you, like I, like anyone.

This ties into Blackout's story. People are uncomfortable with the unfamiliar. The guy in his story probably has no idea what black people are like individually, mistakingly using so-called black culture to perpetuate his stereotype. Sure there's lazy black people. There's lazy white people, too.

I'm sorry for going on about this, I really am, but again, even though I have white skin, I've seen everything from hurtful words to violent action taken against myself and members of my family simply because there's mixed heritage there. My father is full, 100% Irish, my mother was full, 100% mexican, and sad to say, even as recently as the early 80s, mixed race couples suffered a LOT of backlash and I was unfortunately part of the group that received the backlash.

Most racism on the internet has been, from my experience, shitty trolls attempting to be funny or 13 year-olds who know nothing about the world, running their mouth.

Funny thing is, most of aforementioned 13 year-olds come from certain parts of the US (you know the ones). So, the kids were probably taught by their parents that it's ok to be racist. These parents were taught the same thing by their parents, and so on so forth. But since most of them wouldn't actually commit a hate crime, they stick to offensive remarks on the internet.
