Man, $9.99 and you get the original C64 IM, an updated sounds/graphics version, and then a merged one that uses the old character sprite on the new backdrops. And all the puzzle piece entry is via touchscreen, which makes it... maybe the first game I've played on DS where I actually like the touchscreen's use.

I adore this game 99%.

My only 1% gripe:

They made it way easier than the original.

That's okay with me. I never knew how to beat the old one, I just tried to search all the items, thinking that would make me win. Laughing

Wow... super bump. I justed picked up the Wii version of this for $8 at FYE. As far as I can tell, it's basically the same thing as the DS game: a ROM of the original C64 game, an updated version of the C64 game with better graphics, and an all-new and significantly easier remake.

Does the new, updated version still have an incoherent/nonexistant plot like the old game?

Nevertheless, I'm probably going to buy this; I spent countless hours on the NES version trying to get through all the towers. I never did, but I came close once (finished six of 'em).
