Who here's a lucid dreamer? I have the damnedest time trying to control my dreams, whenever it starts to work my brain goes all ADD and whatever I'm dreaming about pulls a Sesame Street and changes content every 5 minutes. Confused

I try to have sex in my dreams whenever possible. I have succeeded in getting the best fucking handjob know to man, and some vaginal sex.

The problem is, it usually involves some wacky shit. That handjob was in a video game, and the vagina was fucking dismembered from the rest of the body. And the handjob is usually better then the vaginal sex.

I'm quite a lucid dreamer. I usually don't set up the initial sequence of my dreams (or whatever I recall anyway), but often I know I'm dreaming and can control a few, if not many factors.

Regardless of my lucid prowess, I can't have sex in my dreams. Well, sometimes I get to having sex or something, but it'll switch up or something stupid will happen. It pisses me off, especially in my dry spell now that I'm not in town too often anymore.

I tend to remember a lot of my dreams too. When I first wake up, I try to remember everything I can about what I dreamed; after that I'll probably remember it forever.

I brought this up in that supernatural (or whatever it was called) thread after Valdronius brought up sleep paralysis (which I have had happen several times). For about little while when I was in about 4th grade, I would realize I was dreaming and be able to control my actions. It only lasted a little while and I haven't been able to do it since.

I usually can force myself to lucid dream, but the end result is either a death dream or a dream where I'm watching other people as another person. Though some of my deaths were pretty cool Wink WW2 battle anyone?

I actually found out a method of lucid dreaming on my own.

It goes on like this - after you go to sleep, you don't fall asleep right away, but gradually lose conciousness. Try to relax as much as possible and do it until you lose the sense of time and until your limbs feel numb. Then start imagining yourself in a situation you'd like to lucid dream about. Keep imagining and your body will fall asleep on its own.

If you did it right, you'll be lucid dreaming. I don't guarantee a 100% success rate, but who can?

How do you lucid dream?

I just go to sleep. Whether I'm normal, drunk, stoned, or whatever, I dream pretty much the same way every time. It makes me like my brain.

I've noticed that waking up and going right back to sleep usually results in more vivid dreams, but still when I try to exert any direct control it still warps the dream into something completely different and I lose the control. Confused

ha HA!

Edit* wait that might be disturbing, was it dismembered in the sense of blood & gore, or just disembodied, like a floating beaver? WHAT!?

I usually think I'm ascending stairs and then at the last point I'm falling asleep I don't realize I'm asleep, still thinking about the stairs. Often times I fall into the dream upon reaching the top or I open a door, either way I get into a dream that way.

One of the wierder ones was after a wild and hot night, my girl was *ahem* my *ahem* and I fell asleep while she did that and started to dream while watching her *ahem*

I agree with you Blackout, that's usually the best way I have achieved Lucid Dreams.

WILD or Wake Induced Lucid Dreaming has been the most effective form of causing Lucid Dreams in my experience, I have tried it a lot and have remained lucid for over 10 to 15 minutes at a time before, which is extremely satisfying as long as you don't start saying to yourself "Wow this is awesome" which usually causes you to either wake, or just enter a deep sleep and lose the lucid session.

I suggest checking this out, for anyone who want's to attempt it for a first time or just anyone who is interested in the process.

I tend to have reoccuring dream. I have never lucid dreamed. My dreams tend to be influenced by what I have seen during the day. I also have 'Nam flashbacks which is strange because I've never been in the war. Past life maybe?

I used to only be able to lucid dream during one recurring dream that I got constantly. In the dream, I was blindfolded , but I knew I was in a room with three hallways. Through the blindfold, I could see a giant monster coming down one hallway. Then I could choose what hallway I wanted to go through. If I went to the hallway the monster was at, it would kill me. If I went down the second hallway, I would reach a dead end, and I would have to fight the monster. If I went down the third hallway, I would fall down a secret hole and land on a bunch of jagged rocks and be left to die.

Crazy, huh?

Sometimes my dreams have really elaborate landscapes, I remember one in particular that always stuck with me.

Imagine the grand canyon but bigger, but the rock was gray and there was vegetation instead of crappy dessert. Now imagine that it's about half full with a lake instead of the crappy stream.

There were gigantic open aired multi-leveled cities carved into either side of the canyon.

People were water skiing and jetsking and parasailing and paddleboating for transportation, and there was a big ass fucking death star type moon that was taking up half the sky, but instead of being symmetrical and mechanical looking it was all wacky and haphazardous looking.

Shit, I have this exact same problem. I never remember my dreams, and if I do, they are random fragments of random events that I don't really remember in the first place... So yeah, I wish I could have lucid dreams.

I used to lucid dream all the time. I can no longer control dreams because I'm out of practice, but I know when I'm dreaming so nightmares dont' scare me really anymore.

Disembodied. It looked like a temporal rift, but I used it like a condom.

Oh, yeah, and sometimes I realize I'm dreaming and try to rape as much people as I can. I guess that counts as lucid dreaming. Maybe.

I can usually point out where each random element of my dream came from. Like say I dream about running through town from a pack of cheetahs while Samuel L. Jackson is leading me through the streets. That would be because I went for a walk through town earlier that day, read an article in the paper about cheetahs and watched Episode 2 or something. I also sometimes think about something (usually a hot chick) exclusively while I'm falling a sleep, and 9 times out of 10 that subject will at least be in my dream. I also designed a guitar based on what I saw in a dream.

And my weirdest dream/lucid dreaming experience worked the opposite way. I was walking through downtown Chilliwack with this kid from school I don't even particularly like. Suddenly all the street lights start going out systematically so it's pitch black (I have nyctophobia, so this wasn't good). So we head into the Save-On and I suddenly have the urge to scream something demeaning about 'JEWS AND N*GGERS!' So I look and Save-On is full of black people and rabbis. So they chase me and this kid from school across the street to the park. It's this full on lynch mob with pitchforks and torches coming my way. So I run and run and come to this wall. I look back and see the mob getting closer, then look forward and see the fucking room I'm sleeping in. Look back and see the mob, look forward and see the room I'm sleeping in. So then I start to blink rapidly, and the mob and park and everything behind me just kinda faded away and I was lying in bed awake.

I've had dreams where I've realized that I was dreaming, but I could never quite get in control. It seems like every I try to get into control, it feels like I'm on sedatives or something; my body movements in the dream start becoming slow an deliberate, and my speech slurs, and I get the feeling that I can no longer act in any way, only observe what is happening.
