Ever notice this month Garlic is in then it doesn't do a damn thing for your heart health? Makes me think that people who control the world health organization have a part in this and they decide what stocks to buy and when to dump them.

Yeah, I'm real paranoid right? How about McAfee having people in a small room creating virus (plural) to spread on the internet so you're forced to buy their software.

How about "Tainted" tomatoes then become tainted green onions and no.. it's the hot peppers that are tainted that killed everyone.

Or how about "AOL HAS 50 million users". You ever use that joke of a internet provider? I have when I used free accounts. I see the same damn people talk in the same rooms. They lie about how many members they have to pad the stock values.

Who do you think is in charge hmmm?

In unrelated news, some people think randomness and bizarre shit is funny and cool and a good way to make friends on new forums.

Believe it or not, I actually see a point under all that. A paranoid one yes, but not one that's beyond the realm of possibility.

I do think many companies and organizations find ways to manipulate stocks and other things in their favor, both legitimately and illegitimately. I doubt that many people would argue with that.

To answer the OP's official question as to who rules the world though, everyone knows its the Masons and/or the Illuminati, depending on whether you believe the groups are in collusion of fighting each other for secret world domination.

Or the Patriots, as evidenced by the Metal Gear Solid games. But same difference.

When I first got online in 1996 I used AOL for a couple months. We had an access number in our area code but still got hit with long distance charges. We then switched to a local upstart provider.

I switched to another provider myself in 2001 when I was still living with my parents because the provider mentioned above put a usage cap on their service. Something like 160 hours/month. I actually worked there as an intern for an internship class my senior year and found out about the cap that way. The guy was training me on the service policies so I could answer customer questions and he was like "We have a 160 hour/month plan but 160 hours is pretty much unlimited anyway."

I thought that was lame and then a couple years later I got my own service. This service was later sold to Earthlink and I was with them for about three years before high speed finally came to my area in 2004. Before that the only high speed I was able to get was at the community college where I was a student and also an employee. I was the computer lab tech and would help students with questions throughout the day.
