Alright, I've tried looking up the info I need all over the internet. Either they have a different problem or the same problem with a solution that doesn't work.

I am trying to hook up my 360 to my laptop via ethernet. I am doing this to connect to the internet on my 360 without having to buy a $100 adapter. I know it can be done easily but...

I hook everything up and bridge the connections, turn off the ICS, and all the basic stuff like firewalls etc. I can connect to the WMC through it's little box on the dashboard but not through Networks. Nor can I actually connect to anything. No XBox Live, nothing.

On the connection screen, it stops at the Network part of it, the little cable icon? Doesn't even get a chance to go to the Computer, which is where most other peoples' problems are

Any advice?
