Aw, c'mon, who's really surprised this happened?
A well-made action movie getting snubbed at the Oscars? INCONCEIVABLE!

Benjamin Button was fucking retarded.
I liked it the first time when it was called Forrest Gump. Speaking of which, Brad Pitt is the new Tom Hanks. There was a time when Hanks could have filmed himself shitting on a plate and it would have gotten 10 Academy Award nominations and 5 wins. That's the way Brad Pitt is now. Both actors are overrated and overpraised.

Is there anything Fincher's done that you don't hate?

Button was just a gimmick, plain and simple. I doubt there's much real substance to it, and the reviews I've read say the same.
Hopefully, at least Ledger will win and sweep the technical awards.

I believe he directed Aerosmith's video for "Janey's Got A Gun", that was pretty awesome.
I like Seven and Fight Club. And I love The Game. Zodiac was okay.
Honestly, only things he's done that I hated were Alien 3, Panic Room, and Benjamin Button. And Alien 3, I can't blame him for. It was a terrible fucking script and it was his first movie.

The short story is awful. In fact, I don't really get the fascination with the great gatsby. The last two short stories I've seen in movie form I failed to finish. One of which was the Illustrated Man, written by an author I genuinely like.

It's more of a logic thing.
I mean, seriously, what the fuck, who would think a short story where things are usually left unexplained to focus on character details specifically, translate to a two hour film?

It's not just an action movie, it's a superhero movie. That's even less respected than straight action movies.
I still can't believe the fucking movie adaptation of "Mork and Mindy" is getting so much damned praise.

Hey now Mork & Mindy was better than Joanie Love Chachi.
Yeah, Happy Days had 3 spin-off shows.
And, there will be no change in the Academy's horrible choices until they get some voting members that are under the age of 50.
