I have to give it to the former President he did an excellent job on his way out the door with his use of the pardons. He granted pardons to the deserving border patrol officers and left that scum Scooter Libby out in the cold. Good job Mr. President, way to say "Fuck you Dick, Im not taking your shitty advise no more!".

Cheney on President Bush's decision not to pardon Scooter: "Scooter Libby is one of the most capable and honorable men I've ever known. He's been an outstanding public servant throughout his career. He was the victim of a serious miscarriage of justice, and I strongly believe that the deserved a presidential pardon."

Hear hear. I was very proud to see that. If only he had spent less time listening to people like Cheney during his Presidency. Makes me sad to think about it. His father was a good President, and I think Bush probably had the potential to be good as well. Maybe not quite as good as his dad--I do think Senior had a quicker mind, and understood politics better--but he could have been very well-respected. He showed flashes of brilliance after 9/11 even. If only he had stuck with that, instead of Cheney, banners and carrier landings. Sad
