My bro is in town and wanted to go see a movie

any good movies that people could recommend?

before you say Gran Turino I looked at the previews and the premise and Eastwood's character annoyed me.

Not really. Go see Valkyrie if you can stand Tom Cruise. I actually like him still.

Go see Gran Torino. It's actually an amazing movie. I thought it'd be another Dirty Harry, but it's actually a very nice balance of really sad and really funny.

It's no lie. Gran Turino seems kind of lame at first and the racial slurs seem like they'd get old, but they actually help to provide comic relief in a strange way in some of the more intense parts of the movie. It's probably the best thing out right now....until Paul Blart: Mall Cop comes out later this month; now that's a guaranteed Oscar contender there. Wink
