Have any of you ever played a game and you decided to make up your own stroy for it. Maybe the plot of the game is really lame and you decide to improve on it. Well my friend and myself used to do this all the time. Most of the time it just consisted of our characters getting laid by the female characters but its a start. Smile

I remember one time we were playing Mario Kart and we made up some completely crazy story about Koopa Troopa and that somebody was holding his wife and kids ransom and the only way to get them back was to win in the races. We also threw in a silly back story about how he was retired from the Kart scene. He used to be a superstar and has now slipped into obscurity. He became a drunk and drug addict as well. He then gets news that his family got kidnapped and that he would have to come out of retirement and win this huge series of races to get them back. We made that story up in 1994.

When me and a friend played Battletoads & Double Dragon on the SNES, I ended up saying that the Battletoads and the Double Dragons were in a contest to see how far they can go into the ratship and defeat their leader who's made of cheese. Of course, we skipped the intro and never got to the end of Stage 3.

I usually make up stories for the villians, like this one stormtrooper has a wife and kids at home, and he promised them he'd be home. Every once in a while I'll let him kill The Apprentice and go home to a life of glory. other times he dies.

About 15 years ago a bunch of my friends tried to write out an idea for an RPG. We got so off track that we devoted about 40 minutes to the game and then were all done.

Sometimes I make up stories when I'm playing MK:A and I'm using my Custom (sorry, KUSTOM) character (damnit, Kharacter). They usually suck though and I stop trying after I die a few times.
