I know. It's the 2nd already and Resolutions are stupid and no one hardly keeps them anymore, but not anymore. I will make an effort to actually keep my resolutions this year. Here are my resolutions for now:
1. Eat healthier
2. Work out at least 3x/week
3. No skipping class
4. Quit smoking cigarettes
5. Make a budget so I will spend my money more wisely
6. Keep the Apt. cleaner.
7.....Can't think of any more...
So, what are the rest of you going to at least try to do to better yourselves in this freshly hatched new year?

I guess I have some too, though it's only a coincidence that these self-imposed doctrines came about around the era of the new year:

1. To be more open and honest with my feelings, especially to those I care most about.
2. To be more open with my feelings and thoughts in general.
3. Standing up and taking social/romantic risks instead of being a worrywart.
4. Get my life together. I'm almost 23 and I need a job, a license, a car, a place, and a purpose.
5. Continue eating healthier, and get into an exercise regimen involving strength training, weight lifting, and yoga. (I played WiiFit for the first time last weekend and I love it, but I'll evolve beyond its limitations quickly if I get it)
6. Continue reconnecting with my family and resolve past disputes.

Sorry if some of these seem a bit over the top... I've been growing up a lot the last year, I think.

RIP Hacker.

Lol, once again Rycona, very similar on my end. I too am going to be 23 and face many of those same issues. I need to be more open and outgoing, and get on better relations with family.

I also want to try and get a PS3 at some point....

Eat better, maybe lose some weight.
Not drink as much.

I know I never actually finish my New Year's resolutions, but here anyway.

Probably lose some weight. I've been eating too much being home all the time and shit, and my social life pretty much went down the drain after high school.

Also, to do better in college next semester, because I know my grades (whenever they come in) will be terrible.

Work out 5 days a week.
I've been working a desk job for the last 2 and a half years, and it really takes a toll on your overall energy. I used to be in great shape. Now I get winded walking up a single flight of stairs.

Also, masturbate more frequently.

7. Write more.
8. Read more.
9. Take more photos.
10. Get more organized.
11. Throw away/sell shit I don't use/need/want.

Wow. I'm really going to try and take on a lot this year. Let's hope I don't go insane...

Find a girl, which is basically "take more chances" than anything. Instead of liking someone and not trying at all to go out with them, maybe try a little bit.

Get another job, unemployed for 6 months feels like 6 years, I live at home but would like the extra money.

- Kick Depression's ass.
- Release 'Flashpoint'.
- Buy a Gibson Les Paul.
- Tour the Lower Mainland and do everything I can to promote my album.
- Get a new job.
- Do everything in my power to get radio play and a record contract.
- Get started on 'Sophomore'.
- Get my Driver's License.
- I will be in a meaningful relationship this year. Even though I manage to write really kick ass songs when they go bad (listen to 'Better' on www.myspace.com/ross rifle /plug), I will have an actual 'girlfriend'
- Go back to school, even if it isn't until September (Thanks Canadian Government!!!).
- TRAVEL!
- See more concerts than 2008 (which was 4).
- Make sure that this is the best damn year yet, and completely trumps 2008.

Right now I am single, unemployed for the first time since my 15th birthday, not going to school, and in debt. So really I just want to end the year on a higher note.

Well done, though I demand you get a bigger monitor for your desk.

Will the masturbation count as exercise?

I forgot to mention my resolutions.

1 - Buy a house
2 - Exercise enough to reduce my waistline back to what it was 4 months ago.

No, though I could i guess reduce about 2 minutes out of my cardio. But I will only be focusing heavy on the cardio initially, then will gradually reduce it down to 2 days a week @ 4 miles. This is assuming I can get back to the point where I can knock out 4 miles in the 30-40 minute range. 36 would be fine, 32 would be great.

No, the masturbation will most likely be a nightcap to the day to relieve the days stress and aid in sleep. maybe in the morning too, since, you know, I resolved to increase the frequency.

Just stock some Maxim and FHM in the bathroom and pound one out in the morning before your shower. Works for me lol.

I'm actually setting one this year. Go get my depression meds prescribed.
Then get my life together.
Looks like a hell of a year.

They put me on Paxil and it was one of the most hellish experiences ever. I always felt weird, like I could cry at any given moment. I yawned constantly. I always wanted to sleep. Also, it GAVE me social anxiety. I ended up quitting it cold turkey which led to fucking BRAIN ZAPS. It was horrible, I would avoid SSRIs at all costs.

My new year's resolution is travel back in time and find my thirteen year old self and get him to sleep with a bunch of thirteen year old girls, cuz I just watched that movie Thirteen and apparently I should have been having all sorts of sex when I was thirteen with girls with tongue rings. Apparently I really missed out on the full experience of what it's like to be thirteen, and I feel angry and cheated.

So I guess first and foremost, my new year's resolution is to invent time travel.
