It's a great article. A thing that confuses me is if the game is bad or good. On the title screen, he implies that the game sucks.

Is it possible for a game with a burning sword on the title screen to suck?
Yes, if it was made by fundamentalist Christians. |
But in the article, he says it's good.

But as a throwback to the glory days of Nintendo, it's a fun diversion that you can enjoy for a few hours. If nothing else, it beats trying to fight the real Satan with a real banana, and for that alone I give it a major thumbs up. |

Val's best review yet. Hopefully they'll release it on the Virtual Console.

I gave this game the old college try on an emulator, the music drove me certifiably insane in two hours.

Yeah, the lead-in is misleading. I've been reading too many wrestling rumor sites.
UPDATE ON KURT ANGLE AND THE WWE INSIDE!!!

The game is considered to be Wisdom Tree's best game. That's a lot like an award for "prettiest puke". Of course, when you clone one of the best games of all time and don't completely fuck it up, you can't help but make a decent game. I've played it. It's not bad.
What gets me is that this game has a version number...and the number on the main page is different from the one on the picture used in the review (6.0 vs 6.1)

Valdronius took all of the screenshots, but didn't submit an image for the site's frontpage, leaving me to improvise. The ROM I got had a different version number. I wondered if anyone would catch that.

How many different versions can there be? It's not a complicated game. Also doesn't Wisdom Tree sell it for like 10$ on their website?

The only available ROMs are 6.0, 6.1, and a version-less prototype. I believe both the 6.0 and 6.1 versions were produced and released for the NES. Previous versions are most likely unreleased betas.

I typically leave the front-page picture decision up to Syd seeing as it's his website and all.
And dear sidewaysdriver, when you say it's my best review and then end with , it hurts me in ways I cannot express

I don't know the questions, so I don't know if they're all correct; however, answer 203 has a T that shouldn't be there.

I meant the VC part. The review was great. Sorry for the mix up.

A moving article . . . in the spiritual way. I've seen and read reviews of many wisdom tree games but this one is by far the best . . . although super strong arm Noah kicks ass too:

As SydLexia.com's official fact checker extraordinaire, you must play through the game and check them all. This is more than a request; this is your patriotic duty.

Only Catholics have holy water. Clearly this game was made by mouth-breathing Protestants.

I feel gypped. That Wrath of God did not destroy all creatures, and at least one of those bastards regenerated.

I stopped thinking of it as Wrath of God and more like a "Divine Bukkake".
