Hope I didn't forget anybody who cared to be in it
Basically the rookie of the year award is for the poster who joined before the last 2 or 3 months of 2008. The criteria is simple
You want to vote on who you think the "best" rookie is, not who the most popular one is. When you vote be sure to vote for the person you think has helped improved the forums either by their posts or that they represent what the sydlexians expect out of future posters/joiners.

You know this is kind of impractical. There are so many options that will have four people tie for first. If were really going to do this, then it should be done in matches with five options, like how Douche set up the best movies for 80s and 90s threads. Just a thought.

well how do I decide which 5 to pick if we are going to do that
some might say, thats no fair, there are 3 really good posters in my category thing, turning it into survivor all over again lol
if its tied, we will have sudden death, and if that fails Jeebus will decide the winner as he doesn't care if someone hates him or not and will stick his foot up the ass who bitches.

I don't think it really matters what 5 you pick because whoever is considered the best rookie is going to win anyways right? There is no second place.

I think you miss understood, i'm not saying choose five off the bat and have them as the only options, just separate people in sets of five, have people vote for each set separately and have the winner of each set move on to a semi-final match and then a final.

Well maybe you should just do one poll at a time. Come up with all the entrants give people a day to make last second nominations and then through the poll up. (So that test thread can be waxed then?)

The whole forum is going to be overrun with these things. If it's not kept in check. No one has a dealine for an award scheme you came up with. It could take all year for all I care. I can't really think of an easier way to do this....what if you posted your brackets in the otherpeoples projects and then posted a link in the general forum for them. Then when voting is over I can condense them into a single thread.
Also I think it would be best to get all the finalists set up before declaring any winners.
