Nope, not Vince, but Linda.

http://linda2010.com/

Apparently, she has offically stepped down from her role as CEO of WWE, to pursue running for a Senate seat representing the state of Connecticut.

Good for her. God knows she won't make millions for being a senator like she has doing what she does now. Also, it's not like shes trying to be in the spotlight more, as being a senator is definitely more low profile than being a CEO of a multi million dollar corporation.

So now Vince has more power, I don't know if that's good or bad anymore.

I find this interesting. Unlike the seemingly batshit insane Vince, Linda has always kept a serious and professional image, pretty "untainted" by being involved in pro wrestling. She knows what she's doing. I support this, or would if I lived about 75 miles south.

I think Vince would make a decent politician too, but he's too tainted by his "Mr. McMahon" persona and just can't help but be a dick on camera.

Why do I feel that this isn't about being in the senate, it is about bringing the WWE to new political heights.

Honestly, the worst thing they could do is intertwine the run for office and the show. If that happens, any credibility she has goes out the window.

Unless I am remembering wrong she is really only CEO in name anyway. Most of it was transferred over to her during the original steroid trials. Again I may be but if im not then Vince already controls things very much so.

I wonder how/if the steroid issue with Vince would affect her chances.

Obviously it didn't affect Schwarzenegger too much.

The fact that Schwarzenegger was on camera smoking weed didn't affect him either cause he was honest about it. Something along the lines of "It was the 70's, that's what people did". Also, Vince is CLEARLY still on steroids, and that could be an issue.

What if this isn't about credibility for her, but more money for the corporation?

Why hasn't Schwarzenegger lost his accent yet? It's been like 30 years....

Heh, good point. Also, the fact that Cal-ee-forn-ya is the steroid capital of the universe probably helped him out in that area. But it's true, Vince is clearly still on the juice. I wonder what people will think of that.

I've wondered the same thing about Yoko Ono

You can make better money bribing politicians than being one.

You never lose an accent. It just doesn't happen.

And there will never ever be a Senator McMahan. I guarantee it. Anyone want to bet money on it?

Well, she did make it on the School Board recently, so that shows that she can distance herself from the WWE and the stigmas it carries. But, that was on a small scale; the question is: can she do it on a state-wide scale?

I think it will depend on who's against her. I won't make any bets until I see all the canidates.

One step closer to making Celebrity Deathmatch a real possibility.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.
