Lately I've been having this facination with time travel. I was thinking, wouldn't it be great if I could go back in time and the future not suffer any concequences because of the decesions I make? I mean, what if we could go back in time and it would not effect the future in any way, like it was parellel to us somehow. Maybe one day someone will figure out the science of time travel and allow us to go back and take things with us as well. Like, how about taking a PS3 or Xbox 360 back to the year '92 or '93 how showing yourself how advanced the future of video games are?

If there's anything I've learned from the Back to the Future movies, it's that stuff like that can't happen. Time travel is far too dangerous anyway, we're better off without it.
Then again, if time travel will ever exist at any point in time, then it already exists.

I'll add this. People have supposedly reported time travelers from the future or accidentally wandered into a future reality. (paranormal.about.com True Tales)
Say that's true, That means we're living in THE PAST.
Think about that. Right now has already happened.
So, if it's possible for people in the future to come back in time, then we're not 'it'. We're not the paramount of technological achievement. For whatever reason you chose to live in this reality knowing a higher technological one exists. Why? Well, who knows, that's your and my choice to figure out....
The point is time is only linear in our perception and that this time was picked to be in by, most, of not all, currently here.
If we really are living in the past then dreams we have and things we want are simply a matter of intention and focused desire. We know HERE and while we probably don't remeber, we know THERE too. It's just getting from point A to point B without losing that focus.
So basically, what I'mtrying to say is, I've had waaay too much wine tonight.

So Ghandi, maybe that can explain why we have deja vu? Maybe it doesn't just "seem" like we've seen it before, maybe we acutally have seen it and just don't remember. Like, maybe we came from the future and while traveling through time we develop some sort or partial amnesia. I wouldn't suggest that everyone in the here and now are time travelers, but couldn't it be possible that some of us are?

What about their current parents? Are they "in" on the whole thing. Videos and family albums. I would love to time travel and the topic intrigues me greatly but until they can get a vehicle to go faster then the speed of light we will never know.

I just hope that the future version of me doesn't get killed by a bio-mechanical android that steals my time capsule and travels back to before I was born in an effort to absorb two more androids, achieve perfection, kill Goku and destroy the Earth.

Haha, that reminds me of this time my Dad showed me this cheap Time Machine catalogue he got out of a magazine. I'll have to get some scans of it if it's still around.

Humans are to constricted by the idea of time being linear, largely due to our inability to control it. Time is like a river. We are but water particles. The people we meet and interact with are merely other particles in this river. Some we stay bonded to for long periods of time. Eventually we will evaporate and float freely in an existance that is beyond our flow of time and beyond our imagination. Someday we will return to the water cycle. It may be in a completely different stream.
If time travel were possible, it would just be a matter of scooping oneself out of the river and transplanting it farther upstream. The people would be different, but the world would be the same.
