I'm selling my Wii

I really didn't thought it would come to this, but after a year and a half, I'm forced to sell my Wii. There are many reasons to this, but mainly - there aren't many games for it coming out, and it will die in two or three years anyway. Plus, all my friends have Xboxes, so there's that, too.

Seriously. There are no games for the Wii that I'm waiting for and I have already beaten Smash Bros and Twilight Princess. It had a great start, but right now it seems... Meh.

The 360, on the other hand, will be annoying to use, because it doesn't have Wi-Fi, and I don't own a router.

So, basically. I know there are a lot of 360 owners out here, so I'm asking: what games should I get first (Except for: GoW 1/2, Halo 3, GTA IV) and, most importantly - is there a cheap alternative to the Wi-Fi adapter? I don't have an extra hundred and I don't want to fuck around with these shitty routers.

My recommendations-

Mass Effect (Very well-done RPG)

Hitman: Blood Money (No multiplayer, but it has insane amounts of replay value)

Viva la Pinata (Addicting)

All those games should run you about 60$, since they've all been out a while.

A shovel and a complete lack of ethics can get you anything.

if you have a laptop with wireless, you can plug it into the x boxes Ethernet port and bridge the connections to share the laptops wifi. it's how I use my 360 online when I'm upstairs.

as for games, I have an extensive list of entertaining games:

virtua fighter 5
soul calibur 4
assassin's creed
earth defense force 2017
just cause
lost planet
marvel ultimate alliance
dead or alive 4
perfect dark zero
burnout revenge
quake 4
samurai warriors 2
dynasty warriors gundam
eternal sonata
ninety nine nights
crackdown
dead rising
anything guitar hero or rockband related, including rock revoloution, but not guitar hero aerosmith.

despite what reviews or opinions some of these games may have gotten, I've extensively enjoyed all of these games, even if some of them (earth defense force) aren't too hot.

Orange Box if you don't have it for PC.

Won't work, my laptop's ethernet port is already being used.

It's sort of like this: <cable modem>-><my laptop>->WiFi

So, yeah. My laptop's an access point, and there's not much I can do about it. I don't want to buy a separate router, but it seems like I'll need to.

You've already listed them, but make sure you get Gears of War 1+2. They are incredible.

Even if you aren't a fan of shooters (I wasn't), they are great.

I'm not knocking it but I was bored with the first one. It looked cool, but it didn't really wow me or anything. What's so cool about the 2nd one? Confused

Well I guess if you didn't enjoy the first one, you wouldn't like the second one either. Gameplay-wise they're pretty much the same. The second one definitely delivers for fans, though. Great storyline development, a few new weapons (flamethrower FTW) and some pretty imaginative scenarios.

Is it as short as the first one?

Tales of Vesperia is fucking amazing. Battle Fantasia too, a great fighter that sadly, everybody ignored.

I just finished playing through it for the first time, so I'm not exactly how many hours it took me. But I think it's a little longer than the first one.

I just unplub the cable from my wall to my computer to my modem and plug the xbox ethernet cord in, ya it ties the computer up but it forks for now at least.

If you like FPS's Call of Duty 4 is excellent online and I'm currently in love with Call of Duty: World at War.

Dead Rising was really fun, I would recommend Star Wars: Knights of the Old Rebulic even though its an original Xbox game, it's just a great FPS. I did not finish Mass Effect but I enjoyed it quite a bit while I played it. Fallout 3 is quite a bit of fun, I havn't finished it, but I like it a lot. For a more traditional RPG(well as far as magic and swords go) try Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, I liked it a lot and Fable 2 wich I want to buy.

Oblivion is good when you mod it to change what's going on in the background of the game, out of the box it kind of sucks because the game levels with you. You're level 50 with badass Daedric Armor and one tough customer? The raiders on the side of the road who want to rob you of 100 septims will have the same epic gear. WTF? Confused
