So I know many of you have other things then turkey on Thanksgiving, such as Ham, Duck, Lasgna or Ribs even (Don't ask). I was wondering what side dishes you may have or make that are off the normal things you see at Thanksgiving.

This year I am making a few different things. I am going to have Macaroni & Cheese, Baked Beans, Slovak Nut Roll (No jokes about my nuts, or them being rolled) and possibly some Pakistani dishes my friend may bring over. So like I said I am interested in what you may be making. Post Away.

Now is it Pineapple Flavoured Jello, or is it Pineapples in Jello, like done in a mold. I have had the latter, but a Jello in a Pineapple Flavour may be interesting.

Crushed or whole noodles? I'm thinking of mixing the beef and chicken ones together, I remember that being awesome...I think I'm gonna make some Velveta Scallop Potatoes, those things are banging. Cajun Turkey, random vegetable concoctions I won't eat. Buffalo wing dip...Chocolate Pie...so Good. This is all assuming I still have an appetite after the Lions blow there perfect season by beating the Titans.

Tom and Jerrys are the only Thanksgiving side dish that matter.

Did you mean Ben & Jerrys? Cause all I can think of with Tom & Jerry is the cartoon with the angry black lady who beats Tom for Jerry getting into the food.

Nope, I meant Tom and Jerrys. They're like egg nog on steroids.

On an unrelated note; when I was a kid, I always assumed the angry black lady owned the house on the Tom & Jerry cartoons. They never showed any other people around. Think about it; a single black woman living on her own in a big immaculate house. Pretty progressive, no?

I remember a few episodes where a white nuclear family (albeit minus the 1.5 kids) owned the house. Usually these episodes featured the Bulldog too. Confused

Yeah, and sometimes it was just one white woman, or some fat guy. But, the black lady was always on her own as far as I can remember. Anyway, that was just my perception as a kid, I wasn't really up to speed on the whole concept of a "house negro."

You should make the pork ramen, but also add in the cheese flavoring from box mac & chee and its needed ingredients to it. It's delicious. We made a bunch of it one year and had what we called the "Ramen Challenge." We made about 10 pounds of it to see who could eat the most out of three of us. My friends each 1 1/2 lbs each and I only had 1 lb, but I also had a whole chicken dinner about an hour before. v_v

Back to Thanksgiving, two of my favorite sides for this are deviled eggs and fruit salad. Yum. I remember one year for Thanksgiving I was sick to my stomach all day, and all I had an appetite for was deviled eggs. Everything else we have as a family (that I remember) is pretty standard. This will be the first time in 4-5 years that I'm eating with my family again, so we'll see if anything has changed. ^_^

RIP Hacker.

Stuffing, it's all I really care about, and we're having ham instead of turkey because we're cheapskates and we don't care for it.

My roommate's mother makes some killed buffalo wing dip. I remember they had some sweet dip at last year's SuperGnarly party.

Last time I had some was at a Pig Roast. Nothing like drinking your face, and every organ, off for 20 hours, and then proceeding to eat buffalo wing dip, hot dogs wrapped in bacon soaked in sweet & sour sauce steaming in a crock pot, roast pork, baked beans, brownies, venison etc. Ok, now I'm hungry, and need a beer. I know, I know, that is like 23 hours a day for me.

My friend is having sloppy joes for Thanksgiving. No, that's not a side dish. Sloppy Joes, and that's it. It's not even a special thing, they have 'em all the time. And they're not even homemade.
