ZSNES is the one I've always considered the best. I'm not really good with conversion of videos, so I can't help, but I would if I could.

Fuck this, we have to use the same Emu? I object. I use OS X and cannot use ZSNES. That is impossible for me.... I have a PPC machine. Douche, figure something out, this isn't fair...
Otherwise, I'd be happy to just help out this time around... Just tell me there'll be another challenge in the summer or something...

Wow I don't know how I looked past that. Good point. Nevermind the poll then.

I'm not going to do these challenges until I get recording tools. I like to use an actual SNES for these things.

I'm definitely in on this. I like both SNES9X and ZSNES, but I'll probably go with SNES9X.

I am interested in playing.
---------------------
Snes9X should work for OS X users.

http://www.snes9x.com/downloads.php
http://snes9x.ipherswipsite.com/ - Mirror I chose

Download version 1.51 (right click, save as...)
Unzip, mount, drag to applications folder... standard shit.

I tested and verified that it ran Contra III.

Note: Testing done on fully up to date OS X 10.5.5

I'd like to participate, but someone needs to explain how this all works to me, especially how to record stuff.

I'd go with SNESX. It's windowed, provides somewhat above Average Emulation and is quite reliable in playing games. I've tried a couple on ZSNES and it get's messy looking sometimes.

I'd join in as well, but things within the next few weeks look bleak schedule wise. Hopefully there'll be another one I can jump in on... and scratch.

Unless there is a reason for objection, why don't we just agree to use SNES9x?

It will make it a lot easier for everyone to communicate about solving problems and getting everyone up to speed.

Cause Syd and I no longer live together and the SNES is the one Nintendo system that neither of us ever owned?
