Rock is still very much alive . Just because it isn't on MTV anymore doesn't mean its dying . Music isnt even really played on MTV anymore anyways so it doesn't matter

Rock is still alive in the vein of old bands touring again . Plus Rush still exists in our mortal realm . My theory is the only reason Rock exists , is because a higher diety is a Rush fan .

New rock bands are still coming out . Bands like Coheed & Cambria(Not Emo) and Fireball Ministry . Even more recent is Wolfmother .

Rock won't die until Geddy Lee dies
