Hey, guys. With the video game music threads being made here, I decided to make a thread dedicated to the more obscure SNES tunes.

I think I'm going to mention "Float Castle" from Yoshi's Safari. It's truly an awesome tune that deserves a techno remix.

I think I'm going to have to say anything from Metal Warriors. And the Airport Level from Gundam Wing: Endless Duel.

I could pretty much get some glowsticks for that tune. Very Happy

The SNES had a great sound chip, didn't it?

The first level theme from Battletoads and Double Dragon is pretty awesome. I know, not that obscure. But well.....Road Runner's Death Valley Rally had a fun soundtrack...

I'd say "Uncharted Waters" had a sweet soundtrack.

I personally love The Float Castle from Yoshi's Safari. It's so up beat and happy sounding, this is the one level I loved playing as a child with my Bazooka of a Super Scope...

Super Off-Road's soundtrack was great. Sounded almost CD-quality.

It's cool! The "Floating Castle" song is so awesome that it deserved a second mention. Wink

And another good song from Zombies ate my Neighbors is "Doctor Tongue's Castle of Terror".

Another favorite SNES song of mine is Baron's Theme from Battle Clash.

Edit: And Valius' Theme from the same game should also be in a Smash Bros. game.

Who here thinks that Ivan's Music from Battle Clash should be in a Smash Bros. game?

the first level from actraiser gets stuck in my head nonstop.

megadriver even covered it!

I also dug the first level from dracula X, but really anything castelvania is pretty good.

and who can forget storm eagle?

I think megaman X had some of the best music in the entire series.

here's a catchy genesis tune, jsut for the hell of it.

FNJ, it was interesting that you mentioned the song from Dracula X because it was originally from a Japan-only PC Engine CD game called Akumajou Dracula X: Chi no Rondo.

Edit: Oh, and to stay on topic, I'm going to mention Viscount's theme from Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge.
