Ellen writes with her foot, I go free. What episode was that, that's the one that gave me perspective between that show and my own life.
I remember the episode where they go to the Hoover Dam, I remember so many more, but yet forget. I don't want to. I remember the show, but forget it all. Help me...? Please. I loved that show. I remember that openface ate his favorite sandwich and that Stu predated Otto (simpsons) by 30yrs according to Mr. Kite.

I think I remember seeing one episode of this when I was a kid and I immediately stopped watching it after it was over because the episode was about how the younger Pete was addicted to this disgusting yellow liquid, I can't remember if it was paint, cheese, or slime.

I remember the one where Ellen practically brought their school to a halt by constantly asking "Why?" and "When'll we need to use this?"

I like the one where Little Pete gets to stay home after faking sick and experiences all the wonders of not being in school.

I disagree. There are some jokes in Pete & Pete that I didn't get when I was younger, but think are hysterical now.
Example: When Pete's band, The Blowholes are performing on the radio to raise money to keep the band playing, some dude calls in and yells FREEEEBIIIIIIRD! Totally passed me by at 12... fucking hysterical at 27.

This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,

I believe that was from the "Sick Day" episode and was our 8th president, Martin Van Buren.

I also remember the episode where they meet older Pete's underware inspector and he is perfect at everything. Except at eating BBQ.

No he was even perfect at that too. He wasn't perfect at being able to be not perfect. Then his head exploded and Pete killed his parents.

Is this show available in DVD format? I badly need it back in my life.
How about the episode when little pete's dad grounds the shit out of him just before the Fourth of July, which happens to be his favorite holiday. I love the symbolism of him digging the underground tunnel to freedom with the miniature Statue of Liberty.
I cannot recall why he was grounded in the first place, I believe it was for fucking with his dad's garage door opener, or was that another eps. entirely? Can anyone confirm this??

Seasons 1 and 2 are on DVD, but season 3 was canceled for no reason. I think season 3 might be available in a digital format officially through iTunes or Amazon one day.

The yellow stuff little pete got addicted to was a magical slurpy called "Orange Lazarus" and his little league coach used it as a performance enhancer.
One of my favorite eps. is from season two when Artie gets shunned from the community. It was a two parter. Iggy pop was in it and my favorite quote is "My little girl looked at a flower the other day and said 'Pipe' that scares me" or something to that effect. Then the community proceeds to burn all Artie-related material. Including a hat that has "PIPE" printed on it. Kinda like the Beatles memorabilia burnings that were held after Lennon claimed they were bigger than Jesus.
A genius show. Too bad there aren't any more like it being made today.

I agree with Kubo. I think that watching it as an adult allows you to get the humor more than the slapstick. Kinda like 'The Three Stooges'. I went from viewing the Stooges as three guys who hit each other to viewing them as woman-objectifying boozers who hated to work and were usually averse to the law. Much better that way.
Also to me, as an adult, Mom and Dad in 'Pete & Pete' became more prevalent and funny.

The Three Stooges were actually praised for their portrayal of women at that time period. I remember that being mentioned on an episode of Biography on A&E

He knocked something on the lawn that killed a large patch of grass... It may have been due to turning on the garage door opener or maybe setting off a firework or something, all I remember is dead grass and his father being in a lawn competition, as thats also how he nearly got caught with his tunnel, and that creepy neighbor girl painting the grass to cover for him.
Only episodes that clearly come to mind are the one involving time travel by crossing timezones during daylight savings, and the episode with the kid who gave everyone paper cuts... Next time I'll laminate!

I remember this show in bits and pieces. I don't remember actual episodes, but I remember minutiae, like that Little Pete had X-Ray vision (though I don't actually recall him using it).
I dug this show, but to be honest, I remember Salute Your Shorts a lot better.

Not only is that not right, that's not even wrong. It's a meaningless statement. Saying something is "one molecule away" from plastic is like saying a farm is one letter away from a fart. Water is "one molecule away" from being explosive hydrogen gas. |

The episode where one of the petes had x ray vision and the girl walked around all day in a lead dentist's apron was pretty funny.

I don't remember anything about this show, I just remembered I watched it :p Good show, and I remember it as such, perhaps it's time to download some of it and relive nostalgia all over again.
