I feel I have a serious problem in the regard that I have gotten to a point in my internet life where I just check the same sites over and over again waiting for the comments to what I have wrote and so forth on the message boards I visit such as this site, myspace, facebook, digg and sportstwo.com.

The reason I think this is a problem is that I needed to write a paper last weekend and I literally spent the whole weekend procrastinating until I literally had to unplug the internet cable from my wall so I could get started. I have never had to do that before,

I basically want to sell my computer and get a phone where I can browse the internet similiar to how Syd does on his Iphone so I can still keep up to date, but not become overly obessive and spend 5 or 6 hours on the sites I mentioned earlier.

Anybody know of any good internet phone with a good screen and a good keypad that is easy to visit sites like this?

My phone, the HTC TyTN II is also a PDA with windows mobile 6. It can connect to the internet numerous ways and has a qwerty keyboard when folded out. I don't think it's the fastest one out there,
but it has Internet Explorer etc. making it easy to use.

By the way, I share the same "addiction" problem where I am constantly on going through the usual rounds of websites. I havent handed in a few assignments at college because of that, lol.

I have a Sidekick 3, cue the flaming.

If it wasn't for that, I would be on a posting hiatus since August.

The screen can go vertical or horizontal as well, just in case you don't know. It acts as a mini laptop when you fold it out. But yeah, I don't know if you can get a bigger screen if you want a phone. You can get bigger PDAs but phones I don't know. They tend not to make them bigger so they can fit in a pocket. Although, with my phone, it sits in a easy to open case that clips onto my pants.

If you get a psp get at least a 1 or 2 gig memory stick i have a 25 mb and it sucks when a site is nothing but images and it only displays half of the total images

Haha, I'm teh same way. And the scary part is, I really can't remember what I used to do before I had the internet in my room.

I guess I spent that time playing videogames and watching movies.

The question i can not answer. I can relate though, i find that i often do wait for comments on this forum patricular. The net is a hard habit and since the semester is dwindling down, i've already procrastinated myself into too many cornders already. I have yet to disable the internet physically, but i feel it's only a matter of time . . .

I was always envious of those people on AOL back in the day who would check their email and stuff like once a month then you wouldn't see them again for another month. That mentality seemed so healthy, granted that was back in the 56k days when the net was originally like a 30 minute to 1 hour ordeal maybe every week or so. Now our lives are focused around it instead of using it just as a tool and it bleeds over into homework and soforth. I mean TV was guilty of that as well, but it didnt seem quite as severe if I can recall

I'm convinced that internet addiction exists and there are support groups out their but they fail because they try to meet on forums and it's off the wagon again!

I dont wanna give the net up for good because I feel that it isnt a horrible thing if used correctly and in moderation. I just would like a device like the IPhone where you can check the reg sites you go to , but not spend the hours and hours you would with the comfort of a reg keyboard and comfortable captains leather chair lol

I dont think i could get on the net with a 28,8 modem at this point. Syd Lexia would take like 2 minutes to load I would think.

I understand where you're coming from, but I don't understand how surfing on the internet is any different if you're doing it from a phone? What because the screen is shorter means you'll spend less time looking at it?

That being said, I think I have a very similar problem to you, where I have too many websites to surf on, and not enough to time to surf them as well as do all the other stuff I want to do. I have about 4 other websites I feel the need to check frequently (and that does not include me email). Crying

There are a lot of what if's in life Donny. What if I hit you really hard in the face, knocked yo shit to the back of yo skull? What if I....had you girl gargle my nuts? The fact remains, you are a fuckin mutant.
