From the article itself: "To reach "Rogue" status, a villain needs to plague a hero. No single serving villains here. Secondly, to reach "Gallery" status the villains need to be aware of each other and have some sort of interactivity-whether its a healthy rivalry or the occasional team-up."

i agree, considering darkwing duck's villars are all ripped from spiderman and batman, it's ratehr silly that spiderman has the lamest galelry while batman has the best, and darkwing duck still amkes the list.

I'm glad the Tick's rogues are on the list, some of those guys were hilarious. But yah, Spiderman has some of the best villains out there so saying their lame is LAME in of itself. And no duh batman has the best rogue list, the Joker alone is consider the best comic book villain of all time.

True, but there are many terrible Spider-Man villains.
The Vulture, Rhino, Typeface, and a bunch of other awful recurring villains who you never hear about anymore.
The list is mostly good, I disagree with Daredevil though, and I don't know enough about Captain Marvel to comment. But the fact that I can't name a single Captain Marvel leads to me believe they're fairly awful.

it's funny because typeface is dead. he got killed off panel by a WRONGLY DRAWN venom during civil war. some idiot drew eddie brock venom in the frame instead of mac gargan venom. OOPS!
but honestly, I can name more awesome spidey villans than terrible ones.
here's everything you need to know about black adam:

Also, what about He-Man? He had the best enemies ever.
Stinkor?
Man-E-Faces?
Moss Man?
OK, maybe not.

I just don't like his title.
Rogues Gallery?
How about "Villains"
I disagree with his definition of rogues and it makes me mad.
I do however agree about Batman having the best assortment of villains.
The list is missing G.I. Joe & Captain N.

For lamest Captain N villain, look no further than my avatar.
King Hippo was lame too, as was the way they made Dracula quite homo-erotic, and the fact that Mother Brain sounded just like Audrey II (Levi Stubbs RIP)
Wait you know what, that show just was not that good.

Rogues Gallery? |
"Rogues Gallery" is a very cromulent phrase that dates back to at least the 1940s, probably much, much earlier.

Spiderman has some pretty bad-ass enimies. But also, what about The Punisher? Granted there is some crossover, but Jigsaw & Kingpin alone are pretty fuckin evil.

I have been reading the whole Spider-Man series, back from 1962 to the new era, and I must say that the series has both the best and the worst villains of all time.
For example, Doc Ock. I really, really, hate that fucker. The Ultimate version is kinda neat, but the old one just makes me want to rip his heart out. Whenever he appears I'm like "great, he's here again". I know that villains are supposed to make you feel that way, but DAMN. I want to shit on his grave.
I also hate the Scorpion, but that's because he's a douche.
Also, the 1994 cartoon sucked, but that's beside the point.

I don't even know why I post here with you people.
the 1994 cartoon was one of hte best animated series ever. mac gargan was kinda lame, but now he has venom's symbiote, and it's rather nifty. If you can't appreciate coc ock, you should just stop reading spiderman comics.

Also, Doc Ock is not lame. He's nuts. And has mechanical arms. That's a good bad guy.
If you want to talk about crappy villains, I can point you to the right place.
