It took me 7 hours. It's 37 km (23 mi) away. I left at 4:45 and got there just before noon. I'm tired and sore as fuck.
So what's the longest you guys have ever walked?

The hell did you do that for?
I used to have to walk three miles to work and back when I didn't have a car

I didn't have a ride nor money for the Greyhound, and it is now an accomplishment...that I'll be paying for tomorrow

15? That's it! Did I mention that I only had 5 hours sleep and only brought three Nutri-Grain bars and a jug of Sunny D?

My longest walk was Boston's annual Walk For Hunger, which is 20 miles. I also used to walk about 10 miles every night. If you saw me, you'd realize I definitely stopped that a couple years ago.

Well I run every morning before work unless the weather is really bad - but I can't recall walking a long distance for a long time now.

When I was young we had to walk 50 miles to school, barefoot, in the snow, uphill, both ways, every day.

Christ, Ross.
Longest I've ever walked is probably about 192 blocks in Manhattan (96 each way). Not sure how far that is.
Longest I've ever run was something like 5 and a half miles. I like to run, but I bonk like crazy after about 4 miles.

Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us. |

I don't think I have ever walked directly to a place at a distance even half of that.
In a day though I have walked 7-10 miles.
I actually have a pedometer in my phone and it keeps track over time. Once in a while I'll look and see what the average is for me.

That's crazy. Mad props for that. A girl I share an office with here at work, she is a bit overly health conscience. She runs marathons, that shit is crazy. But man, I hope you are ok, have a nice frosty beverage on me.

He lives in Canada... you really think he needs something cold? He probably needs to be rushed to the hospital for hypothermia and stitches from fighting off the arctic wolves.

I kicked those wolves' hairy asses. Actually it was just kinda cold until about 9 or 10. I got some really nice photos of the sunrise though. And I'm happy to say I'm not very sore today!

thats pretty hardcore ross. im sure you rode half the way on the back of a moose though.
anyhow, i ride my bike home after work. its about 17-18 miles. google maps has it at 17.6, but since i zig zag on a couple of streets im sure its more than that.
and my bike is not a fancy chopper or moped or anything. its a cheap $50 TARGET bike i bought 8 months ago. im probably gonna buy a new one in a couple of weeks.

It was a really basic trip, I just followed the freeway and took the parallel roads when I could. The only freaky part was when I walked over the Vedder Canal. That bridge is not meant to be walked on. The ledge is maybe 3 feet wide, and the railing is actually just like 4 railings lined up. So rushing freeway traffic coming at me one one side, raging river on the other...FREAKY AS FUCK.
