I'll buy the complete chronicles when it comes out on DVD just like the Shield and The Wire. I'm not jumping on now.

I finally managed to watch the three latest episodes, after carefully avoiding any spoilers for the last two weeks. I'm glad I watched "The Ties That Bind" unaware of how it was going to end, even though I hated what happend to Cally. I really liked her. There's still a slim chance that she might come back as the twelth Cylon, but all signs point to Starbuck at the moment.

I was really sad Callie died too. I was even sadder that Tory killed her, because I really didn't want any of the final five to be evil. That whole episode was a downer, what with the good Cyclons getting the blown up too.
Right now it looks like either Baltar or Starbuck with be the final Cylon, but the producers will probably throw a twist at us.
Another interesting thing about Callie is that she was originally intended to be a minor character and she was going to die in the third episode of the first season, Bastille Day. She was originally scripted to be raped and killed by an inmate on the prison ship, but the producers decided that they liked her acting abilities and changed the scene at the last minute and expanded her role on the show.

I wonder what Geata's reaction towards Starbuck and Anders will be if he loses his leg. Will he become bitter and blame them, even though they returned with a basestar? Or will he act as admireably as he did when he was accused of betrayal, despite helping the resistance on New Caprica? I'm inclined to think the latter.
Of course all of that is moot if he doesn't lose his leg.

BSG.... greatest Sci-fi show ever or super greatest sci-fi show ever?

In a way, each of us has an El Guapo to face. For some, shyness might be their El Guapo. For others, a lack of education might be their El Guapo. For us, El Guapo is a big, dangerous man who wants to kill us. But as sure as my name is Lucky Day, the people of Santa Poco can conquer their own personal El Guapo, who also happens to be *the actual* El Guapo! |

BSG is pretty awesome. I wish I watched Dr. Who more regularly. That guy makes the best faces.

They really haven't done much with Felix since he lost his leg. He sang that one time, but that's been about it. The shit's really going to hit the fan on Friday though.

They'll probably end it with a huge cliffhanger, since that'll be the last episode of the first half of this season. Has there been any news on when they're going to air the second half? I read that it might be as late as 2009 till we get to see the remaining episodes.

They split up the season so that they could release 2 DVD box sets and milk every last dollar possible out of the show. That's business for ya.

Ended = canceled.
It's like calling death ascension.

On why BSG doesn't get Emmy nominations.

I really hope that you're not going to try and tell me that Lost doesn't suffer from THE EXACT SAME FUCKING PROBLEM.
And speaking of Lost, Lost is another example of a show that's going to end before it's cancelled. Not all who wander are lost, and not all shows that end are cancelled. Look at Japan and the UK. In those countries, MOST shows have planned story arcs and end long before they are cancelled. In America, most shows aren't built to tell a story; they're built to make money. That's why we have the phrase "jump the shark", because American shows keep going long after they run out of ideas. With Lost and BSG, you're seeing an attempt to shift the paradigm, and you should be fucking grateful for that.

I'd like my t-shirt back please.
And the reason BSG won't get an emmy nod is not because its hard to pick up mid season, its because the industry has a rediculous stigma against anything thats not a crime drama, sitcom, or a reality show. The worste thing a tv show can be is a niche science fiction program. Good acting is good acting wether its in the middle of a serial or Sir Lawrence Olivie in "The Merchant of Venice" Actors (the good ones anyways) don't act for awards or recognition they act because they have to act, its the only thing they can imagine themselves doing. You don't go into acting caring about that sort of thing so the fact that BSG may or may not win an emmy is of little consequence to Edward James Olmos or anyone else in that cast.

Last night's episode really should have ended with a shot of the Statue of Liberty.

I too expected to see some recognisable building in the distance when the camera pulled up. What bugs me more though is that we'll have to wait till 2009 for the final episodes. A little consolation: the second half of the season will be eleven hours long instead of ten.

Bumping up this topic aswell. Battlestar Galactica is probably the finest thing TV holds these days. It is both great and sad that the show is coming to an end. Along there with OZ as one of the greatest shows ever.

There was a phone conference today with Moore and another producer. I tried to get in, but my "supervisor's" name didn't pass the security check. I think I'm still able to listen to the replay though. However, I have no idea what's going on and the story summary I read in prep for the conference just reminded me of Alien Resurrection's resurrected ending. So I don't think I'll be much help with the gossip or spoilers. Then again, shouldn't legitimate news sites be reprinting the conference...

It's best if they don't, because I don't want spoilers out there. I know that Edward James Olmos cried when he read the script for the series finale, however.
