I loved it. Done in the Blair Witch style... which I also loved... but for real, this movie was legitimately creepy. It's been a long time since I've been freaked out at a movie. Quarantine did it. Had a very claustrophobic, very panicked feel to it all the way through. Two thumbs up from Kubo.

Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us. |

I want to see the film it's based off of.

I just saw that movie last night and I thought it was garbage. Predictable and cliche scares all throughout. I hate documentary style filming too. You could hardly see shit for more than a split second. I don't subscribe to the "less you see, the scarier it is" theory.

Yeah, I haven't seen Quarantine, but this is exactly what killed Cloverfield for me.

I haven't seen it yet, but if it is anything like Blair Witch it will be total garbage. The best part of Blair Witch is when the dude threw the map in the river.

Sacrilege! Blair Witch was money.
/I recognize that there are exactly two camps in the Blair Witch debate: love it and hate it. I'm obviously in the former.

I was legitamitely freaked out at the Blair Witch but that was because prior to seeing it everyone I had talked to said it was a true story and the footage was real. My gf wants to see it so I don't have a choice. I hope its as good as you say.

I laughed so bad at Blair Witch. I mean I thought they were the dumbest people that would spend so much on camera equipment and everything else, and not have things to survive, or a gun. If I am going to investigate shit like that, I am going to be prepared for anything, and hell boy scouts carry more gear then they did. They did not suspend a damn but of disbelief in me, if anything they made more.

Your lack of a comma made me think you were talking about Hell Boy and that he scouts, rather then hell, boy scouts. I laughed picturing him in the movie.

No, thank you. Judging from the trailer, it looks like a rip-off of both The Descent and Cloverfield (the latter of which being a shitty film that was a rip-off of a shitty film known as Blair Witch Project which was just a rip-off of another shitty film known as Cannibal Holocaust).

Are you mocking the boy scouts? It's on now.
