I remember actually wanting one of these when it came out.

Anyway, if you look closer. you'd see the N-Gage as a console is way past dead (around here), but it lives on in Nokia phones.

I still don't see why people still invest in a handheld system where you have to take the batteries out to change the game cartridge. Confused

What a POS that was. A video game console made by people that have no idea what it takes to make a video game console. It's like when a whole bunch of old white men sit together in a room and try to think up hip TV commercials, that's about how much innovation went into the N-Gage.

Yeah, the screen was much taller than it was wide, the games weren't that great and you had to remove the battery to change the game. What good is all that?

Really the only particular thing about the N-Gage I remember is the screen. I played a demo one at Gamestop once, and I remember the screen being freakin' ridiculously small. I originally thought the Game Boy's screen was too small before I got one; with the N-Gage, there's no getting used to it. It's just too small.

I guess they figure they can make a come-back with iPhone games gaining popularity. Not saying it's smart or will be successful, just sayin.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

I still have a Game.com lying around somewhere. Talk about an obscure system. I think only 5 of them ever got sold (one of them to my mom).

GAME.COM ACTIVE!

N-gage, now what a piece of crap. How long did it last? like a month? Game.com, was that the Tiger handheld with the black and white screen and e-mail and crappy games? Talk about handhelds that failed, I barely remember them.

Yep, it had the touch screen as well as Internet access in all its 26.6K glory.

The most fun games on there were the ones based off of Tiger electronic games, like "Henry!". Which goes to show how good the other games were.

Needless to say, that quickly fell to the wayside while I was firmly supplanted in front of the N64, indulging in my Ocarina of Time fix.

the ngage was a terrible idea. just like the iPhone.

and you only had to remove the battery to replace the game on the original version of the ngage, as far as i recall. the newer models had a game slot
