I know its a little early to be bringing up Halloween, but its my second favorite holiday after Thanksgiving, so I just couldn't wait. I was wondering what everyone else does on or around Halloween. Being a new englander I usually head out to Salem, Massachusetts for a pretty wild time, but this year I am thinking about being in a big costumed Halloween parade in my hometown of Portsmouth. I know a large amount of people out there are massholes, so has anyone else gone out to Salem for Halloween?

That, and I do a scary movie festival each year, does anyone have any "standards" that they watch every year? I generally watch the original Romero Dead trilogy, the Werner Herzog Nosferatu, the Shining, and then fill in the rest with either cult classics or foreign films I've heard about. I'm always open to reccomendations.

This is also the year I get really good at carving pumpkins, I swear.

Edit: Sorry about the double post, I had some browser confusion.

Well, I'm going to walk around knocking on people's windows and leaving notes like "I AM ALREADY INSIDE" or "I'M LOOKING AT YOU" on the windowsill.

And, just like you, I am going to watch Romero's Dead series, except all of them.

You should totally check out the IRC channel.
While you're at it, go check out my band, Her Majesty's Heroines.

At work we get dressed up for the day, Last Year I was a pretty good Grim Reaper, and the year before I was Belushi from Animal House. The best is a pic from last Halloween at work where it is me as the Grim Reaper, or Death, and Both my buddy as Pee Wee Herman, and a Slutty Little Red Riding Hood. I do so like that Halloween gives every female a excuse to act scandalous and dress like a whore. "You might not be a whore, but you sure as hell are in a Whore's Uniform!!!"

I buy candy, dress up as Jack Sparrow and get so drunk that he'll be copying me when I walk with my sea legs Smile

I get to go back to Missouri for Halloween. My wife will take the kid out with my sister-in-law and my nieces. I'll either be at my parent's house or at my grandma's house watching movies and handing out candy.

I'm not sure what movies I'll be watching yet. I'll probably be making a list pretty soon. I may work Halloween III into the mix this year.
