I don't know either, but since I don't see any hard evidence I'm going to have to pull the shenanigans card.

Since many people (me) probably don't know who this guy is, here is a very brief explanation.

| Travis Walton (born April 23, 1957), claims to have been abducted by a UFO on November 5, 1975, while working with a logging crew in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest in Arizona. Walton could not be found, but reappeared after five days of intensive searches. |

Yeah, this thread was very poorly thought-out and executed.

You may be right. But I thought maybe more people would know who he was. Also, I thought maybe the people who didn't would actually look him up. I thought if I just said it was a guy who claimed to taken away by aliens, the first thing to come to somebody's mind is going to be, "BULLSHIT!"
I was really only curious because I was watching the special on aliens and UFOs last night on ABC (why it was on who knows). It didn't talk about him (that I saw) but I thought most of the people who said they were abducted were full of shit. Travis Walton is really the only person who I have thought was believable.

Maybe. But the story actually seems a little believable.
When Walton disappeared, the police were trying to build a murder case against the crew he worked with. They stuck to their guns about the UFO story. They even took polygraphs for the Arizona Department of Public Safety and all passed. I believe they took multiple polygraphs for other people after that initial one. Once Walton returned, he took polygraph tests as well.
As far as I know, all of the polygraphs they have taken show that the crew "believe" they saw a UFO, and Walton "believes" he was abducted. Polygraphs don't always mean anything. I don't know how hard it is to beat the polygraph, but the fact that all of them pass the test and have appeared to remain consistent throughout the years seems to make it tough to discredit their claim.

Yeah I had no idea who he was. Thanks GP, I saw your post and it immediately made me think you the movie "Fire in the Sky", a movie based on his supposed experience. I remember seeing that movie in theaters when I was a kid. It scared the crap out of me. For years I thought the UFO's were going to abduct me and stick needles in my eyes. So far they have not found me. Therefore I vote "He's full of Shit".

I don't know whether to believe him, but I believe that other lifeforms exist out there.
