I need help identifying some old Apple II games. These were games that they used to let us place back in elementary school, so they were all semi-educational.
Game #1 - A first person adventure game where you walk around a house looking for animals. Every once in awhile a dragon will be on the screen and you have to run away from him. Dunno what the educational content was.
Game #2 - Some sort of typing game with a rabbit. At the end of the exercises, the game would let you print out a certificate.
Game #3 - A first person adventure in a haunted house. Every once in awhile you'd run into monsters, and I think you had to solve math to beat them.
Game #4 - A sea adventure game where you had to do math. Every so often you could challenge for gold coins. If you got three gold coins, you won.
Game #5 - You had this little wagon that you had to drive across America and not die. You could buy supplies along the way and shoot animals and stuff.

I'm guessing #5 is just to round out the list?

I figured I'd include one that someone might actually be able to ID for me.

I think game #5 might be the Oregon Trail.

iPhone games are what you play when you can't get at actual games. You know, like how sometimes alcoholics drink mouthwash. |

I encountered something along the lines of #2 when I was little, but I'm not sure. Reader Rabbit, maybe?

There was also a Writer Rabbit, but I can't find much info about it.

I know MECC was the company that made most of the Apple 2 educational games that we all played in school. Here's their list of publish games durring that time:
The Amazon Trail
Dinopark Tycoon
Math Munchers Deluxe
MayaQuest
Museum Madness
Number Munchers
Odell Down Under
Odell Lake
Opening Night
Oregon Trail II
The Oregon Trail
The Secret Island of Dr. Quandary
Snap Dragon
Storybook Weaver Deluxe
Super Munchers: The Challenge Continues...
Troggle Trouble Math
The Yukon Trail
Any of those ring a bell?*
*I had completely forgot about Odell Lake until I saw it on the list.
And, perhaps someone can help me with an Apple II edutainment game:
You had to do math to launch a shuttle and do a mission to the moon.

I had Math Rabbit as a small child, not sure if it's the same franchise of games though.

Did you ever have any luck with the rest of this list? Some of those were real stumpers.

I remembered loving Odell Down Under and Word Munchers quite a bit back in Elementary. My god how I yearn to play them again for old times sake. Oh, I also liked some Muppet game that had a bunch of mini-games in it, they were all pretty fun. One was balancing things on a balance with Gonzo looking on, and if you got it off-center the eggs on whichever side would go flying out the window or smack into Gonzo's face.
