but i have to cut down on the internet, just for the next three month or so. My classes have started again and things are going to pick up next week. It's probably why i have been posting so much today, knowing very well i could be buried in BS by Friday. We already have readings to do (which are 80% of the time BS anyway).
My classes are not going to be as crazy as they were in spring so i'll still have time to hang here but I still have to cut down on surfing. Heck other then this forum, most of my haunts are slow with new updates and stuff, might as well let the net stew throughout the week.
And by making this declaration on the forums i'll have no choice but to follow it. So to keep this thread going for the next few months, here's something to discuss:
Factions of Nerdyness!
I've been trying to figure out the different groups of nerdyness for a while now and here are my listing so far:
The Science nerd: The group that finds quantum theory and other superscience so interesting that it becomes as regular as breathing.
Video Game Nerds: Do I even have to describe this one
Otakus: The anime geeks that think all other forums of media are obsolete
The Furry: Shudder
The Comicbook Nerd: People who will physically harm anyone who talks shit about a comicbook icon (batman and spidey)
The Magic Geek: Pretty much anyone who knows more about Magic the Gathering then what the green stuff on their lawn is called
The movie nerd: I’m not taking about those who will see any movie that comes out in theater, but also anything that MST3k riffs in it’s raw form and remember quotes better then their own name!
The Nostalgic Nerd: any nerd that gets high from anything from their childhood or an era they find fascinating. I’m one and if nostalgia was a over the counter drug, I would so buy it.
The internet Nerd: That is sadly me as well, but not to the extremes of ROFLcon!
I know I’m missing some factions and am obviously forgetting sub-factions.
And when heroes season 3 starts up, I’ll be stopping by ASAP
