I dunno if anyone here besides myself and APLETHORAOFPINATAS has been reading the saga of the Goddamn Batman, but this bok has been delayed. A lot.After months of waiting, #10 finally appeared on the Diamond invoice for this week (meaning it's been printed and was in their warehouse ready to ship to us). However, we did not receive the books today. Instead we received both a letter and an e-mail stating there was a "printing error" and if we accidentally received any copies to destroy them.

The last time something like this happened was several years ago when an inker had written "Fuck Marvel" on the spine of a book in one of the panels, and the fact that they want the issues actually destroyed means it most likely is something like this.

If anyone of you see a copy of this book on shelves somewhere today, BUY IT! I will even buy it off you if you want, but I need to know why this book is supposed to be destroyed.

Well that's what he started doing at the end of #9. Either someone slipped something in they shouldn't have, or Miller completely lost it and decided to have Robin murder the entire Justice League in the most graphic fashion possible, and then slapped an "All Ages" rating on it.

Thanks! I don't know why they insist on trying to censor the goddamn Batman anyway. Clearly Frank Miller's gonna write what he wants regardless, and that's most of the appeal of this book.

BTW, the mystery may be solved, but if anyone finds one of these in their comic store, seriously buy it and I'l buy it off you.

The book is never going to retain a value like that though. I'd pay $15, or maybe $20 for the variant, but that's about it. I almost had a buy it now for $15, but it sold before I could.

For anyone who's curious, the fixed versions came out yesterday, and it's pretty good.

I was able to pick up one of the recalled issues cheap on ebay, so hopefully I can get scans up if people need them.
