So I have been playing Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. It has been great. More of a throwback to the days of 2D Metroid than Castlevania, but none the less a blast to play.
I made my way through the entire game and got to the final boss.
It took me two attempts, since I didn't realize you need to attack his kneecap the first time.
But the bastard went down.
After I won, I started up again in a bonus mode (Julius Mode) and was having fun throwing the old whip around.
I got to level 5 (took about 15 minutes) and then the screen went blue.
A message came up and said "Data Corrupt, your save games are now being wiped"
The game reset about 3 times and all was gone.
WTF?
Thank god I had just beaten it. If that had happened when I was at the final boss I would have been so mad.

i keep on saying this, but my PS2 wont read my memory card at the end of GTA III and GTA VC.
the game is saved, the file is still there in the memory card, but once it starts loading, the screen just stays on the 'loading game' screen. it doesnt freeze up or anything, but it just wont load my game. i guess that would be the definition of freezing up.
im hesitant to try and get further in San Andreas for the same reason.

Here is another funny story I have about games getting erased. This happened when FFX just came out and I was furiously playing through that. Anyways I was virtually at the end of the game, last battle with Seymour or something of that calibur. The battle was very grueling and there would come a point in it that he would be almost dead, along with nearly all my party. I had used all my good items, and most of my MP as well as nearly all of summons. However I had been saving one for last, Bahamut. I knew Bahamut was powerful enough to finish the job so I wasn't worried, however when I summoned him, the game game froze. It was unbelieveable. I replayed the battle from my save and I was left under the same conditions, summoned Bahamut, game refroze. I don't know why, but for some reason this would alwyas happen, and where my save was left me entrapped right before a boss. Long story short I have never beaten FFX and it still bugs me...

The game can be beaten in like 30 minutes or so. Download the rom and rock it. Better yet, go get the classic disk for the gamecube and rock it on the Wii.
