I'm trying to remember a game from my NES days which if I recall I played some time around 1993. In this game, you played as a time traveler space kind of guy who shoots lasers.
You go through different eras of time, such as future, wild west, weird place with mushrooms, etc. You have to collect some crap to open a portal to the next place, and warp around and whatnot.
It was a very difficult game when I was a kid. I'm trying to remember the name, it might have been related to "Time" in some way. I'm pretty sure it was a Rare game. Any clues?

I was just about to answer till I read your last line. I tried that game recently -- it's infuriatingly hard to play, but the music is remarkably good.

That sounds like an early PSX game I rented once.
Edit: Just found it, it was called Time Commando. Pretty good game. I wonder if the concept was stolen from this Time Lord game.

Spanky, what was thatcomputer game you had where you travelled through time? There was that one part where you had to scale the walls of a castle, and if you took too long, they dropped a cow on you...
