My uncle tried to kill himself. He's been drinking more heavily, and doing drugs. He's been making really stupid decisions, like letting homeless people crash at his place and dating a tramp who's stolen from him, lied to him, and cheated on him, but now he tried to off himself with pills. He was completely nuts. Didn't recognize anyone, and tried to kill a doctor. He's in a psychiatric hospital. I'd see him, but he's up in Vegas. I can't help but to imagine him like the Cookie Monster from Family Guy. I'm fine, it's not anything new with my family. All fucking crazy....bleh. I just needed to rant...

I'm sorry to hear that. My uncle has a lot of problems too and we decided to cut him off from the family. I hope yours gets the help he needs.

For me it wasn't my Uncle, it was my dad, almost same exact story cept he was successful in offing himself.

well, before i go off giving my best and all that jazz, would you rather he off'd himself and stop all the stress or would you rather he get better?
obviously im just asking that to see how annoying he got; i have had plenty of uncles like that.

I have an uncle that tried to off himself with pills about 4 months ago. Problem is he is full of shit. He claims that he has had back problems for years and gets medication for it. He has access to very strong pain killers like oxicontine, oxycodone and high dose hydrocodone. Me and my other uncle Jay where hanging out when he got a phone call from him saying he had taken a large amount of pills and that he wanted to change his mind because he saw a picture of his 10 year old son when he "fell" to the ground. A few days later the doctors told us that he had taken a large dose of Lyrica which can't kill you. This is not the first time he has done something like this and basically he just wanted attention and sympathy. He has completely destroyed a lot of peoples trust in him.

yeah, its bs when its just a cry for attention.
thats my opinion which obviously may not sit well with most but fuck that, people can kill themselves w/out any trouble at all.
